A few weeks ago there was a discussion on which browser people prefer and I was talking about my love for Firefox because of how extensible it is and how I can synchronize my passwords, cookies, and bookmarks amongst several different computers that I use. At that time I started a post featuring Google's Browser Sync extension and how to use it.

I finally got around to finish this morning:

blog.techfun.org/google-browser-sync/

I include step by step instructions on how to set it up the way I have it set up. If anyone wants to give it a try and use me as a resource if you have any technical issues, feel free.

The article has already been "Digg'd" 4 times. If you like it, please give it a poke.

Looks like Apple is going to have to work a little harder with the synchronization features of .Mac.

On the PC, yes. On the Mac, not necessarily.

naw, i'm on a mac and i'm a die-hard firefox user. safari still ticks me off on a regular basis. opera has consistently annoyed me. i didn't see too much point in camino. and, of course, we won't talk about poor li'l IE 5.2 (which i've kept just cuz sometimes a site needs IE ... and sometimes poor li'l 5.2 can deal with that.)

My favorite is OmniWeb, but it's crashed a few times lately, which is just not cool. Otherwise I use mainly Safari, except for a handful of sites that can't seem to deal. I know that there are all those add-ons, but most of them produce interfaces that look like crap on my 12" iBook. Besides, I'm not sure I want my browser to be more than a browser.

Edit: Have you tried Shiira? shiira.jp/en

true, I am on windoze. I did try safari but it didn't seem to like windows and just didn't work well for me. I have been firefoxing for years and years and can't imagine switching.
