I know it's an age old question... But i just read a post about favourite bands and it got me thinking as to what are the best bands you've seen live? As for me, no doubt I'm going to say Nine Inch Nails and The Birthday Massacre (if you know of them) ^_^

The Scorpions are pretty awesome live. As are Judas Priest. Best show I ever went to was the Monsters of Rock with Van Halen, Metallica, and Judas Priest. Boy was it hot. It was summer time in Houston. I really felt sorry for those guys in black leather! Dream Theater is great, if you can withstand the 13 minute songs. Technically they are spot on and sound wonderful. Symphony X sounds awesome too.

Oregon (the band) - Sydney early eighties

The newspapers in Sydney said "Anyone who was not in the town hall on saturday night, missed the concert of the decade"

I agree, they did material from Ralph Towners Batik album as well as their own stuff

All of the best concerts I've been to have been Rick Springfield. Seriously. I've seen a lot of good shows--some of the best in my subjective opinion were Bruce Cockburn, The Romantics, and The Kinks. But I've honestly never seen another performer put as much energy into every show as Rick Springfield does...usually followed by some surprised newspaper reviewer talking about how he went to the show prepared to cut out early and trash it and just couldn't believe what fun it was.

The opening act always steals the show for me. Hands down the best stage show i've seen was Mute Math who was opening for Switchfoot. Honorable mentions go to Smile Empty Soul (who opened for Trapt) and Mudvanye (Opening for Disturbed). Although Fall Out Boy was pretty good too (they were the headliners)

Prince!!! Simply the best! I was only a kid back then but it was great!

I also have never been to a concert. Not because Im uncool, but I just find it unnecessary to go to a concert with screaming teenagers or adults where they move around all crazy like, bumping into each other and stuff. Then Im sure it gets hot and sweaty, honestly, I'd just rather watch music videos at home or online.

I know! And concerts here are particularly messy. Me and large crowds ... nah.

Yea I hate messy concerts... I'm waiting for COLDPLAY & EAGLES. They said they are willing to tour my room.

The Who put on an amazing show...although sitting 13th row I couldn't hear anything for at least 24 hours afterwards lol
