I know that there is no such thing as 'bad' time to travel Europe. But seriously, I don't like to travel in cold and I don't want my pics showing only my teeth when I am smiling in front of Eiffel and rest of me hidden behind a big heavy jacket, mufflers, gloves.

I was thinking of travelling in November end. What do you suggest?

Yep, cold is my biggest enemy.

May - September, the real cold usually doesn't start before late december
  4. crpitt
Hmm best time I think would be end of august, beginning of september.

Then it's too late for this year

Well to be honest November would still be lovely, you just have to plan for the worst weather

Yes, september is an ideal month. Not to busy anymore as the holidays are over but still much change of good weather.

If you do not like cold I would not go in november.

Where are you going to in Holland?
    4. owlbarn
      Amsterdam in Holland.

I have another question for you Anthe. I sent an email to be added in Blogroll on Nablonomo and haven't heard from anyone. Do you know anyone I could contact directly?
    5. Anthe
Wow, so Amsterdam, Paris, London, Rome, all in one travel. That is really fantastic, you will love it!

As for the blogroll at NaBloPoMo, maybe you can best sent a message to Eden Marriott Kennedy. She is the owner and her name is on the frontpage. If you click it you get to see her page where you can sent here a message.

Late Spring and early Fall seem to be ideal... What a wonderful thought....

Thank you. I was hoping to travel this year but it seems I'll have to delay it till Fall.

Personally, I have found that traveling either right at the beginning of summer before May 15 or after Sept. 15. This gives you the window of opportunity for good weather without the heavy crowds. It also is when travel rates are lower for airfare, hotels, restaurants etc. The one disadvantage of end of season is that most people are tired of travelers by then. Hope that helps.

      it's helps. thank you.

September & up to mid October usually have pleasant weather. Rome will be the warmest. And best of all, no crowds. Spring can also be a good time. Except for possible rains. I definitely will never return to Paris in April, having once fallen for that line. I don't remember how much time I spent there that April, but I remember it rained every day, I ruined 2 pairs of shoes and ended up traipsing around that elegant city in soggy flip flops.

I am not ready to take my first trip to Europe in rain. I want to see Europe and I refuse to see it behind a rain coat I'll be a patient girl and will travel in the middle of next year.

May-Sep is the best bet. And you can never say about weather in Europe.
    1. owlbarn
you can never say about weather in Europe. That's what I heard. People suggest Summer and I think it sounds like a better option compared to Winter (my original plan.)
    2. crawler
Nej ! Winter might be damp this year, summer was also not at it's best this year.

Best time to enjoy Europe is about end of May to around middle of June. Summery but not too hot. Septemeber and October is not bad either - you get a bit of that indian summer.

i think the best time to visit europe is like mid june to september

I went to Paris in April and it was pretty chilly/rainy.
