Best ways to increase Technorati Authority / Rank

What the heaven is the Technorati Authority ?

It is the number of total blogs linking to your blog. The higher the number, more is the Technorati authority of the blog.

Technorati Authority is what affects the Technorati rank of the blog. If one has a high Technorati authority, obviously its rank will be more. It is to be noted that web sites like TextLinkAds.com & ReviewMe.com select the web sites on the basis of Technorati Rank, if a blog is well established on Tecnorati, the sponsorship of blog increases greatly.

So how to increase Technorati Authority :

The 1st way : I would suggest you is to get listed in the Blog Roll of any blog registered with Technorati. You can do so by often commenting on ones blog & gaining some attention of the blog owner. This also makes the owner visits your blog. Then he may include your blog in the blog roll or you may also ask him to ass yours.

Spending some time on Technorati : Technorati tracks updated & new blogs on Internet. You can find many blogs related to your blog & hence can check them out & repeat the same as in 1st point discussed above. I am asking you to do this specially, because your technorati rank will only be affected if you are listed on others blog which is already thereon Technorati.com

Faving on Technorati : Faving others blog is a very good way to gain attention of the blog owners. Technorati isnt what it used to be, since the technorati viral exchanges last year it has been worthless

In my opinion Alexa is shaping up to be the best and most reliable indicator these days. It can still be gamed but if Google ever gets a major competitor to knock it off its pedestal I think a ranking system like Alexa's will be the type.

Its a blogger community where you can promote your blog just like blogcatalog. The best thing in technorati is that after you have posted or updated your blog you can send them a ping so that the content of your blog will e updated and publish in their site. That is the basis of your ranking in their site. You have to post always and post original/relevant content so that your ranking will be higher.

  BlogCatalog also accepts a ping to let friends and people who have joined your neighborhood know that you've updated. As for your comment about ranking on Technorati, with respect, you are wrong. Technorati authority and rank is based on the number of other bloggers who link to you, not on how often you post quality content.

I had so much trouble with Technorati, I switched to Twitter. Technorati is not very interactive with other people.

You can ping your blog using Pingoat anytime.

Great Article. It is the one I was searching for. but I tried these steps before. But no effect. I commented on about 25 blogs in technorati. But what I received was only 2 visits. Any other better way?
In technorati, is there any provision for communicating with the blog owners for purposes like link exchange, backlinks, etc.
Please mention if so?
I will soon fav your blog in Technorati and hope you will do the same for me. I will inform you after faving your blog,

This thread was about how to increase Technorati rank, not how to get more hits from Technorati.

If you want more hits, there are better ways. Search this site for other threads.

If you want to increase your Technorati rank, try leaving comments on other blogs in your niche. Make sure a link to your blog (the one you registered with Technorati) is in the "website" field of the comment form. Then go to Technorati and ping that blog to make sure it is in their index.

Using this technique I increased my rank from 2 or 3 to 12.
