Hey everyone,

Just wanted to invite you to be a part of Blog Action Day 2009 - blogactionday.org/ - several thousand blogs have already registered to talk about climate change on Thursday, October 15.

On my own website I think I'm going to talk about how to use the social Web to help the world's climate. Tricky but I've got several days to figure it out.

If you're participating this year, what do you plan to write about or do for Blog Action Day?

Do you think we can actually make a difference with all this blogging?

No. It is the climate, which has more followers than any blog. It will do what it wishes.

I don't know really about change, but I was glad change.org took it over, as before it really wasn't but a large link chain. I probably won't post I am time constrained, and don't spend much time studying climate issues, but I'll surely be reading some of them.

Whether it really makes a difference or not if one ore person becomes interested in it, and decided to do something about it because of the massive postings, so much the better.

I saw the BAD09 ad at the last minute, when I was trying to think of something to write about, so I took up the topic for a day.

Nope. But I think it can induce a lot more hand wringing and fretting for a day.

I posted about sustainability and its importance for classical music, as musical instruments require specific materials for the absolute best construction, durability, playability and sound.
