Do you have one?

After a little research I thought I better slap one on mine so I wrote one up, I hope it covers my ass-ets:

That notice will not save you from (a) hate speech or libel, since you are the publisher or the site with full control over what does or does not appear there, or (b) pilfering copyrighted content.

    Good try though.

It's true. With all the will in the world, anyone can sue for anything, at any time!

Perez Hilton was sued for copyright violation over images on his site used without the owners permission...
      www.accesshollywood.com/news/ah2925.shtml

X17online were slapped with a lawsuit for liable, for a story they wrote about an affair that never happened...
      www.tmz.com/2007/12/19/tony-parker-to-x17-screw-you-sue-you/2

They are both --huge-- well known websites. What chance does a little blogger have? Be caerful.

So what I really need is a good lawyer ...or... a packed suitcase, a few bucks and a one-way ticket to Aruba, just in case?

What you need to do is make sure you don't do the illegal. That's not so hard is it?

I just thought it was funny as hell!

Well, OK I'll do things right but there go my plans to expand into the underground blogger slave trade.

Well, yes, it was funny as hell.

Maybe you should use the NSFW classification, and describe what that means for you ..or rather for the readers to what expect.

I used to have a 15"x20" banner on the wall of my merchandising business that said something like the following (feel free to use)

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO APPLY
    FOR CREDIT WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Hey, by the way...I have this mole on my...oh never mind!
    3. ghostytwofish
Here, let me take a look at that. Moles can be very dangerous.

I'm not a dermatologist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
