BlogCatalog VS MyBlogLog - Social Networking Wars Revisited

When I started my blog at the end of December last year, I compared MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog and BlogRush on the basis of metrics gathered from Alexa- The Web Information Company and my own experience with these social networking sites for bloggers.

Many people argued that the Alexa rating of a website was not an accurate measure as their means of collecting information about websites weren’t anywhere near good.

However, after the recent update of Alexa’s ranking algorithm, bloggers and web developers have talked about it.. Enough to give tell me that Alexa rankings are now respected and seriously considered.

So, I took a few minutes to compare these 2 social networking sites for bloggers, BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog using Alexa ratings.

  Yes,I believe... And Alexa agrees, too!
  
  But the Google PR for MyBlogLog is 8, and only 7 for BlogCatalog. Also, the link provided above by CRKIAN says a different story..
  
  So, should we conclude that it is Alexa that sucks.. and does that mean BC is still not better than MBL ?! I don't think so...
  
  Take a minute to drop a comment at my blog, and share why do you think which is better! BlogCatalog or MyBlogLog?

  Just because Google PR rates something doesn't mean it is like God declaring that "it was good". I have played around on both sites, and I believe that Blog Catalog is a trillion times better.

Analytics are great but what about the people factor?
I found alot of cool people on here and learned alot
from reading people's blogs.Including your's:)
I tried to leave a comment and hit enter and it went
to a white screen.I will try again.
But 3.0 will be full trottle LIVE a lot of cool things are coming!

MyBlogLog shows you the stats for your blog while BlogCatalog helps you build those stats!

  Aack! I don't know why that didn't show up. The stats from MBL are readily available elsewhere for free. The site itself has never brought me traffic. (Let's see if that works.)

BlogCatalog seems to have more updated material and more active members. I like more of the participating blogs that are listed here on BC. MyBlogLog has a lot of outdated pages still listed. Kind of frustrating there, even though I have my blog listed there to see if I can generate a little more traffic to my site.

I don't really remember if I ever have heard from MyBlogLog of updates in their interface and/or new features added for usability except once or twice!
But BlogCatalog gets better and better whenever something more productive is discovered.
