The 'We are THAT family' is one of my favourite blogs. As far as hilarious goes my recent SHOWER embarrassment posting highlighted a HUGE one. I have no shame, the lessons for parents can come from anywhere at ANYtime!

Hello there. Good work. I have commented and visited the blog as well. The writing is entertaining but huge header, flashing banner, and the amount and placement of advertising on the blog made me yell - yikes!

  I agree that the design did not put her writing in the spotlight as much as it could have.
  
  But it was her content that drew me, and that, IMO, was worth my time and attention.

  I like her design. It's eclectic. The top ad is something that many sites have any isn't that distracting as it seems to be set as a graphic only google ad. The right sidebar badges don't seem to be ads though rather links to sites she likes. Her content is wonderful.

  One thing she's definitely doing right is to have tabs linking to stable content right under her header. It's something I'm planning to incorporate on my own site.
  
  Re: the site badges. A lot of blogs currently have a javascript button to grab as an alternative to a text-only blogroll. It's a neat idea and a fun way to showcase individual blogs.
  
  (And I'm glad you liked her content. So did I.)
