Hey, i am a bit of a newbie blogger on Blogger.com. I started my blogs late August and i was really hoping for some Page Rank when the update happened the other week, but i missed out
Really gutted. What do i need to do to get PR in the next update?
My friend wrote one blog with 2 posts in WordPress and got a PR2 in the last update, even though it had been around the same time as my blog. Is WordPress just easier to gain PR?
I don't know what to do, so would be grateful for any advice! Thank you

Depends on how many people link to the content of your site. He may have only wrote 2 pages, but if those two pages received links from many sites with high PR then those pages will in turn be high PR.
Basically go out, collect links, write good stuff so people link to you. Hold contests, do some memes, etc etc. Anything that builds back links to your site in a non spam way will pay off eventually. -
i recently pulled up my blog few months ago but it has been sitting there for 2 years. i just started putting on some stuff and i recently got PR2. i was even surprised because i was not expecting it'll pull up that soon. i was not even trying too hard to promote it. maybe my contents were relevant enough to get more visitors. you can check it out yourself

Try read on my blog about page rank, adsense-google-post.blogspot.com/2008/09/page-rank.html to increase pagerank, just try to make a comment to every blogs.

If you really want some PR, you have to avoid doing paid reviews and selling text links that let you use "dofollow" instead of "nofollow" links. These reviews suck up one's blog PR down to 0.

As said by gemjeweled, it also happened to me on my blog about health tips, even last time my blog have rank 1 then down to 0 after follow paid review. many-health-tips.blogspot.com
