Blogger awards.

I see that a lot of people receive blog awards. Most noticeably, the Bloggers Choice Awards, I Love Blogging Awards, Honest Scrap, Cutest Blog, etc. Where are these awards? Usually when I click them, it shows just the picture. Anyone know?

Its like a special coat's graduation button popular among Japanese high schooler, they just received it from the previous friends and required to give it (in limited maybe for 2-3 next blog) to other lovely blogs that they personally like most. Waaa... I want that too

Those sort of things are memes. Most of them aren't even awards, just buttons and images that sheep seem to enjoy. I've been offered to put a few up on my page before and I refuse. I'd rather have page set aside for user feedback than a bunch of silly images causing the page to load slowly. Seriously. That tripe can turn a perfectly functional blog into some horrendous MySpace lookalike.

  Err.. why don't just set up a button says "my hall of fame" and that button goes to a single post that pin up all... its like a room, what veterens are always proud to be.

  If someone wanted to do that, they could. Not me though. I think those things look horrendous. Besides, there's nothing wrong with having a guestbook. I'm actually considering setting one up myself. That way, you get a broader range of feedback, feedback which isn't conveyed by a bunch of silly images.
