Here is a useful place to get your blog listed if you are an academic:

The owner looks at all sites before listing them, and he seems to list or reject without sending an email. Still, it is a nice little academic blog listing. The directory is still growing, as you can see by the numbers that I copied and pasted from his blog directory:

I'm not sure where he draws the line on "scholar." If you think you've got something relevant, you can always try to submit it. Don't expect him to deal with submissions overnight though. It took a little time for mine, probably because he's a one-man act. (By the way, I do not know him. Just ran across this resource on the blog of the American Historical Association some weeks ago.)

I had to write about the Social Welfare Reform during the Protestant Reformation in Zurich for my capstone and one of the professors on staff pointed me to a site that had a message boards about the Protestant reformation and blogs about it. The amount of information there was staggering.
