I've heard that having contests can boost the traffic to your blog and I've finally decided to give it a try. Starting Monday, March 17th, I will begin BLOGO. It is just like BINGO, but the blog version. If you want to play, all you have to do is email me for a BLOGO card. I will post a new BLOGO number on my blog daily. When you get a bingo, simply email your card back to me. You win your choice of a custom header or EC credits. If you are interested in playing, email me at suburbianqueen (at) hotmail (dot) com with BLOGO as the subject.

How about you? Have you tried holding contests at your blog? If so, what type of contest and was it successful?

Blogging Bingo, odd idea but there must be some folks out there who are into the bingo scene.

I've held a writing contest and I had many people visiting and reading, so it was a good run.

    Good luck with your contest.

Can I play along without having to post a custom header or for EC Credits? I'm on wordpress dot com and the custom header probably won't float, and I know the whole EC thing doesn't work with them unless I self host.

I think this is rather easy. I email them the card, they check for the numbers on my blog, and they email the card back when they've won. Piece of cake.
