On October 9th, NASA is bombing moon. Whats your take on this?

I've written my words but it's too much for me to put it here.

SO, you can read my words here:

Let's hope the Moon isn't thrown out of orbit
    1. bittertruth
      That's different theory
  2. polybore
When you look at the surface of the moon it is already covered with craters. One more will not make any difference.

BTW your blog causes IE8 to hang, might be your banner.
    1. FreakSmack
      did it to me too
    2. bittertruth
my banner is simple .swf animation. IE8 is the culprit or some addon is causing the problems. My stat shows frequent visitors use IE and FF.. haven't heard any problems before.
    3. bittertruth
Poly and freak, I just checked it in all browsers including IE, none gave me problems. I used IE7 though.. IE8 is not a bug free.
    4. crazyTsu
I hate swf files and everything adobe. thank god for mozilla and flashblock plugin

nasa is bombin the moon? with whut?
    1. bittertruth
sorcerer, how could you be oblivious?
    1. bittertruth
Lol.. hopefully, it will go the way they desired.
  4. FreakSmack
I say it's about time we nuke Idaho too!
    1. Agit8r
      um... no! o_0
    2. bittertruth
      wtf.. lol..
  5. aspotofblog
Don't bomb the moon! The moon is my home!
  6. hatingtherain
Is that why the dinosaurs are coming back here in their spaceships?

Things are finally starting to make sense.
    1. aspotofblog
      @bittertruth

Yes, I'm a billionaire. That's why I have a blog and spend all my time on BC.

Seriously, I'm all for scientific research, but there's always a margin for error, so I am a bit worried in that sense. But the moon is basically one big solid rock, so I'm sure the explosion will just create another crater, and not blast the whole moon away.
    2. Deray28
jajajajaj HTR I had forgotten about the dinosaurs on the Moon!!! Let's hope the bombing didn't kill too many of them!
    3. bittertruth
hating, lol ..dunno about the dinosaur comeback, but finally scientific tests are shaping up. that's my point.

aspotofblog, sorry if my previous comment sounded lil offending. But yeah, the Moon is all about craters and one more crater in billions of years wouldnot cost much harm to it.
  7. aningeniousname
Good old USA! Not content with bombing shepherds on Afghanistan's moonscape they have decided to bomb the real thing instead.
    1. bittertruth
it's become human nature to politicize everything.. huh??
  8. JDh888
i say bomb all unruly moons

    dammit
    1. bittertruth
      what does that mean?
    2. crazyTsu
means why the hell are they doing that for?
  9. jeremyjanson
First of all, the "confirmation" of Indian scientists is only one experiment. More experiments are needed to confirm the hypothesis even to the point of being a strict theory. Weird stuff can happen with experiments, or sometimes nothing weird happened but the situation is just a little more complicated then Ockhams Razor originally entailed.
    1. bittertruth
Jeremy, thats why I've written my thoughts in my blogpost that finally all the hypothetical statements will be analyzed and verdictized regarding 'water on the moon' with this very blast. I'm just anxious to witness that but yeah, something weird could happen, everything is unpredictable.
    2. aspotofblog
So basically with this bomb, they want to find out if the moon consists of more than just cheese?
    3. jeremyjanson
No. They want to find out if it's brie.
  10. acousticguitarist
If this is true, it's a disgrace and a crime against the Intergalactic community and will have serious repurcussions
    1. acousticguitarist
One of the objectives of the Disclosure Project is to remove all weapons in space, to do such a thing is an intentional disregard for the guidelines that they know are in place ( but refuse to admit publicly) on hostile and careless acts in outer space.
    2. acousticguitarist
you may not take this seriously, but check out the disclosure project
    3. jeremyjanson
      Are you actually SERIOUS????
    4. acousticguitarist
totally serious, and it's an embarrassment to think that people don't take the Disclosure Project seriously considering the people who are willing to testify before Congress, and also the great American Presidents who have been killed or removed from office for wanting to make the information on extra terrestrial life a public issue.
    5. Friday13
      That's no moon ...
    6. bittertruth
acoustic, missile already launched and heading towards the target in next 5-6 hours. The consequences are to be seen shortly. WATER or NO WATER.. We'll know in coming days..
  11. davedol
If we can bomb the moon, why can't we bomb Iran? Am I missing something??
    1. acousticguitarist
dave, it's an interesting question but could create a little bit of disharmony as there are many different cultural groups use this forum and many of the Iranian bloggers have had support from Western and Asian bloggers throughout the elections
    2. bittertruth
davedol, could you please set aside those political issues?? please
  12. drjalee52
If those idiots bomb the Moon, it may disrupt the universe and kill us all. The sad thing is we are paying for it.
    1. jeremyjanson
Nothing we send against that moon is going to be as powerful as the meteors that left the craters on its surface.
    2. bittertruth
disrupt?? cosmic blast is happening all the time, every seconds.. If you stare in the night sky and you see some blinking star, it could be a cosmic burp meaning blast.. and it happens all the time.. Moons surface is all because it was hit by asteroids several times. What these scientists are doing is very insignificant as compared to those big scenario case..

I've read that there could be some other Unidentified things eyeing at this whole event silently, keeping log what we're doing..

whatever nothing is going to happen,.. by the time I'm writing these words.. the missile is taking a round trip around the earth's orbit to hit the moon double the speed of fired bullet.
  13. davedol
Acoustic, point well taken. Ok…bombing Iran is not PC. We don’t want to bomb North Korea; they have nukes. They could bomb us back and that’d be no fun. Nothing really worth bombing in Afghanistan. Maybe the moon is the best we can do. Crap.
  14. AmpLiF1eR
they just want to bomb all ancient proof before others find it. The presence of water is already known and India told it to the public (nasa knows this for years). nasa confirmed water on the moon 1 day later then India.
    1. bittertruth
I think they want to prove it, bring it here on Earth and take a sip and show it on NASA TV LIVE.. (^ ^ ,)
      how's that?
  15. joreel
    Nuke would be better...
    1. bittertruth
My only wish is that human use those nukes to save human civilization.
Should some big asteroids dart towards earth(I know it's not happening soon but that'd be it's noble use. ), all with nukes use their arsenals to destroy it rather than pointing it towards each other.

Nuking moon is a very bad idea after all.
  16. sorcerer
wow!! can we see that from earth?
    1. bittertruth
sorcerer, sure you can. Check this link:
      www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

it's a LIVE NASA TV broadcast. You'll see the explosion in next 5-6 hours LIVE thats what NASA has promised us to show.

      Lets wait and see
  17. bittertruth
NASA believes we're co-existing with some other civilizations in this universe and so close, they are watching us..

NOW my Personal view,"What if it changes the moon's gravitational pull by a bit..I'm not talking about moon's orbital shift.. just slight chemical change in moons surface which ultimately affecting gravitational pull, can that be happening??.. If moon can change Earth's Ocean tide, then what I believed could be true too. Some side effects could be seen on Earth's environment too"

Hopefully, we'll soon make contact with other beings...

    IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION
    ***********************

I think there is a really important issue here that needs addressing.

I don't think that NASA or any other body has the right to start exploding things on the moon or any other planetary body. This issue needs to be discussed in an open forum with voices from many communities involved to decide whether we as human beings agree on doing such an act. It really needs to be dealt with appropriately and not just handed to a group of people who think they have the right to act on behalf of the rest of humanity.

    ADDITIONAL PERSONAL OPINION
    -------------------------

Certain factions at NASA are aware of other civilizations, this is no longer even a point of discussion because there is enough evidence available. The main issue now relating to other civilizations is WHY they are here, and one of the very reasons is because of the very thing that NASA is about to do, which is a hostile act in Space.
    1. bittertruth
I kindda second that.. but 'the chariots of god' is even more mindboggling. if you've read that.
    2. ccRicers
There are other civilizations in our solar system? Did I miss something here?
  19. scifigene
The Moon has yet to sign any treaty or agreement to limit its development of illegal weapons of mass destruction. Sanctions including a complete embargo on all imports from the Moon has had little or no effect so punitive airstrikes are the only way to put pressure on this wayward and dangerous lunar regime.
  20. scf
There's a fence a little beyond the ditch, at a turn in a blacktop road near here, that regularly gets slammed by vehicles as heavy as what they hit the moon with. I think the moon'll be okay. Note: they didn't bomb the moon -- no explosives were involved. It's more like some drunk teenagers plowed into it with a Chevy Suburban.
    1. bittertruth
I know, 'bombing' has become a generic word to address such issue, at least for me. blasting moon's south polar so-called ice cubes doesn't sound that real good than 'bombing the moon'. Not trying to mislead people.. but anyways..
  21. CentricStudios
Lame! I am more concerned about the condition and quality of the water here on Earth, rather than if there was water on the moon.
    1. bittertruth
As NASA said, they are doing all this to cut off the expenses to carry water from earth to moon. If they eventually find water on the Moon, they are planning to setup the base there which will get them Oxygen and hydrogen to fuel their rockets and at the same time, keep the human life forces(at work) alive out there. I think this is a noble cause for research. I also think it's the beginning of planet hoppin.

If they don't find water, forget about all this..
    2. jonyx
I think the planets are better off without us on them. As much as I'd love to explore new worlds and planets, I'm not looking forward to Saturn vs Planet Jawaga (yes, I made it up), just yet.
    3. ccRicers
Let's not put all our eggs in one basket.
  22. 4Freedoms
    impossible..
  23. CentricStudios
"I also think it's the beginning of planet hoppin."

That's a good one. But, we still have a little more work to go here. We haven't fully destroyed this planet yet.
  24. exit2013
When or if NASA finds water on the moon, who's going to drink it?
    1. NatetheGrate
And, if there's no one there to hear it, will the explosion make a sound?
  25. Theresa111
I do not want them to hurt my moon.
