This morning I made challah french toast with a strawberry reduction sauce. It was my first time cooking in a while and it felt great.
What did you have for your Sunday breakfast?

You bet, Agit8r! The best french toast is made with day-old crusty bread. It soaks up the custard better when it's a little dry.
I have to admit, our recipe for french toast is a bit on the rich side. With a little sugar and heavy cream, it gets a nice, glossy brown crust -- delicious!
Sorry, guys... gotta go [runs to kitchen to start cooking]

Yesterday for breakfast I had Ginger Pancakes with Blueberry Maple Syrup, Potato Crust Quiche with Leeks and Mushrooms, Eggs Benedict, Peach Frittata and Creme Brulee French Toast with Drunken Strawberries... all homemade! Then I woke up and had cheerios.

Wow, lots of french toast in here!
I also had challah french toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, and coffee. -

Chocolate chip banana nut bread. Not very healthy, but very tasty. Freshly homemade and so damn good!

Mmm, that looks yummy. That's part of the problem. I read your threads about the delicious food that you're cooking and then my mouth starts watering and I want to eat! Even if I'm not hungry.

I use to eat brown rice for breakfast back in my macrobiotic days. Sometimes cooked with other grains and lots of water to make a porridge, with umboshi. It's called soft rice, and is delish.

Okay, now... seriously. My favorite breakfast is what I had *yesterday*.
2 egg omelet with a filling of diced tomatoes from the garden, basil confetti, and a touch (not too much) of shredded monterey jack cheese. A little salt & pepper, orange juice on the side, and I'm a happy lady.
