I use webmaster tools, and I'm really not finding the info I need. So I thought I would ask.

For the very first time today, I noticed that I had some broken links. (found date June 22, I only check my webmasters account once every 2 weeks or so) I fixed them, by either deleting the links or updating the links.

After fixing the links I resubmitted the sitemap, but the error is still there? (It's still dated June 22) I'm confident that it's been fixed.

Should I worry that the error message is still there or should I just ignore it?

I know it's a stupid, question, but I thought that once the error is gone the errors would disappear, espeicially after resubmitting the sitemap. LOL

Or is it just a matter for waiting for the google bots to comb my site again??

Which platform are you using? Is your link working after fixing it?have u checked it at your blog?
if your permalinks are fixed then after resubmitting the sitemap google will index it,you don't need to worry.
use your keywords to check it i.e hello site:yoursite.com to check the links of ur previously broken links.

You have to wait until Google crawls your site again. It could be a few days or a few weeks.

Typically Webmaster tools takes weeks to update status on broken links. The update will not be the next time Google crawls your site.... it typically will take much longer than that. I would not worry about it if you are sure you have made the corrections.

Google take time to index all the links in the 'sitemap'. You'll find them placing two numbers: 'links in site map' + 'links indexed by Google' so it takes time.
