I cannot upgrade a new template for my blog. It often says the template cannot be saved because some tags are not closed. I'm having this problem when I put XML codes there for my templates. Are XML codes not allowable, or there were problems with the codes? If there were, why almost every XML codes I tried failed?

Please help!

xml is fine. you really do just need to make sure its properly formatted and all the tags are closed. I have sometimes found I had to edit a template file from someplace else before I could get blogger to accept it. ymmv

This is what it often says:

"Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The document type declaration for root element type "html" must end with '>'."

I've been downloading XML codes from somewhere because I got upset with my template and I am wanting a new one. Grr... Somebody help! I have wasted my time to find the unclosed tag and I could not find any.

Os a close tag if thaty's what you're after

but to be honest I think you must be out of storage space even for one more tag :-)

Use the ctrl+f function for an easier search. And make sure that the template you're implementing on your blog is for NEW BLOGGER. If you're using the New Blogger, it'll usually not accept xml templates for the old version.

    Cheers!

If you are on old blogspot, the coding are very different from the new one. Ensure you are using the new blogger XML template.
