When Ireduce stress and depression by blogging first started blogging some 10 months ago, I had very little knowledge about its effects, side-effects or what it’s capable of. But as I continued, read different blogs and started to think, I soon realized that blogging is much more than keeping an online diary; it is a power. It is a power which helps us to reach out to people and share our views and opinions. It helps us to try and bring a change to the world we know. It helps us to be heard and to feel accepted. And this, my friend, feels great.

I didn’t believe it before that blogging can reduce stress. But now I know that it is a fact. By keeping myself busy with writing new blog posts I can have the sweet taste of creating something unique. By sharing that and receiving feedbacks I feel assured that I am affecting people’s lives at least a little bit in a positive way. And that feeling of doing something good fades away stress and depression to some extend.

If you get like 1 traffic per day, that increases depression :))

lol... and to get more traffic, you have to take blogging seriously and post unique articles regularly...

Infact I started blogging as a way to get away from depression a few years ago. It was a difficult time for me and I had no one I could really talk to ... so I turned to the web.

I started by venting about my miserable self, angry at the world and all that (thus the name of my blog). But things change.

Since then, my blogging has evolved, I've met some really good people and made lasting friendships and I am happy.

Yes, that happened in my life too. The biggest benefit I earned through was contact and friendship some good and genius people. I am sure that such relationships will last for ever.

Actually, the answer to this question lies on the intention of the blogger. There are a lot of bloggers, especially beginners, whose maintain intention is to monetize their blog and earn a steady income through out blogging. In order to reach such heights, they are supposed to work hard.
But for the one who writes blog only for the purpose of sharing everything, he has no need to worry about anything. For those people, this formula works really well - Blogging relieves stress and depression.
But for those trying to monetize, there's a fine probability that Stress and depression may occur during blogging.

Mine has nothing to do with money. I just want folks to read my poetry and like it. LOL!

I have no ads, don't know how ads work, don't get traffic, so the ads wouldn't work. HaHa

this is so true. Blogging is real work when you are trying to make money from it. Work often equals total stress!

I don't blog FOR money, but I wouldn't mind if someone pays me for it, what i really want is to help people look at the world differently as I have learned to do.

I blog for that purpose. B!tching and complaining has a soothing effect on me (and it entertains the hell out of everyone else).
    1. irtiza104
yap, your blog sure entertains me... lol

I started my own blog concerning depression and mental illness.
    awayout-depression.com.

Blogging like any activity can be helpful as a support system for depression. However, you will need to get treatment if diagnosed with major depression.

    1. MissSuzie

I think it helps other people with their rage too. Like your blog.
    3. MissSuzie
