Can culling of infected or unhealthy birds or animals be considered GENOCIDE?

Dictionary meanings of culling
1. remove somebody or something as worthless: to remove an inferior person or thing from a group
2. select somebody or something: to select or gather people or things, especially those that are good examples of their kind
The following cases are culled from the police reports.
3. remove animal from herd: to remove an animal, especially a sick or weak one, from a herd or flock

Genocide is the killing of a race...from the Latin 'genus' meaning tribe/race.
Culling sick animals is not genocide because animals do not have a human-like society, so killing the sick is usually the only way to ensure the survival of the group at large. -

Mmhmm, the only thing I agree with PETA on is doing away with animal mills..You know, where puppies and cats are bred just to sell by the quantity, usually to pet stores. Just because they don't have a snowball's chance in hell at being healthy and normal, and who knows what type of diseases they might already have.
