Can someone be honest here no big figures of possable incomes, Is all this spoof or what?
I am new to this online business idea and if it works for you I believe it can work for me but does it only work for the few who started out years ago.
Feeling lost and alone here in this cyber world.....

I'm not a big name blogger but I managed to make almost $1,000 in the month of February online. You just have to use things to your advantage... for instance, if you are a great writer, you can ghostwrite for money... if you are a designer, you can make templates, etc.

Yes, there are a lot of market you can earn online,
affiliate marketing, blogging and many more is just one of them.
You need to choose your own ways to earn money online, wish you luck.
P.S. Hi ma'am, if you're interested enough, I can share some paid resource with you? Free of charge ^^. Just send me an e-mail in my contact form at my blog. -
Hi whojaybe,
what blogging platform do you use for you website? I've been thinking to start my own blog with domain, but I don't know which one should I go for...
Any Ideas? -
There are many people out there trying to earn money online too,
however, if you meet one of the affiliate marketing website, then you must be very careful...
You can see many people out there trying to pre-sell to you,
so take some deep research on the product first.
P.S. What has Nell written? I want to know !!!^^ -
I do a mix of work--freelance income from writing for other Web sites and print media & books as well as trying to earn revenue from my own blog. I just made my first money from Amazon, and am close to the required minimum from AdSense. I've only been monetized a few months, tho the blog is older than that. I wanted to try to establish it before I did ads.
I've had quite a few requests for direct advertising but they all want to pay me through PayPal. Accountant says no way and I pretty much do what she tells me.
Mariatheresa's right--there is lots of competition. But I think if you gradually build a readership, earning money isn't out of the question. Good luck! best, Kay -
I have always tried ways to make money online. I've been lucky in some of my attempts, either with cash deposited into paypal or getting gift certificates to restaurants and stuff. I just started a blog on my favorite places that I actually use. There are a few on it right now, since I just started it. You can check it out at: dreamylilaconline.blogspot.com/
also, there is another way to make money online by being an affiliate. There is one spot (only for adults) that is free, lets you create the website in your own unique way, and pays very well. It is an adult online store, so its only for those 18+. You can find that place at: www.lifesprivatepleasures.com and there you can learn about becoming an affiliate. I've made a lot of money there with hardly any effort on my part, and no out of pocket expense. -
Yes you can make money, provided you have expertise in a niche and you know how to
* be a skillful blogger, who can actually write well;
* create an archive full of high quality original content;
* structure a search engine optimized blog and posts;
* promote your blog effectively throughout social networks and by other means;
* establish and maintain a faithful and growing readership (organic traffic).

I started making decent money online this past month. But I didn't make it from my blog. I don't try to limit myself on ways of making money- it doesn't have to come directly from a website.
There are many sources of income that don't require attracting lots of traffic or even running a website. But I plan to leverage profits from those sources to my blog. -
Depending on if you obtain a tangible asset, you may find yourself getting ripped off if you use Paypal. You have to make sure you keep plenty of records of what you do, when you do it, and how much it is worth just in case someone decides to complain to paypal after they have received your services for a refund.
You can definitely make money online. You have to treat it like a business though. If you don't put in the time to learn as much as you can or network with those who already know quite a bit (and are proving themselves daily) you will be fighting for crumbs.
The goal is to get targeted traffic to your site that converts. How it converts is up to you, and how you obtain the traffic is also up to you. Don't count out offline advertising...
Obtain targeted traffic on a page that has been optimized to convert = cash in the bank. Starting a blog, submitting your site to a few search engines or directories and expecting 1k a day is wishful thinking. -
Reality Check
Well, the truth is no quick and easy way to make money online. Making money online or offline involves hard work. And very few bloggers have the degree of expertise in a niche and excellent writing skills required to produce content that brings in the massive number of hits on advertisements that are required to make a living from blogging. Moreover, the fact that blogging is competitive and economic realities we now face mean that making an income from blogging is bound to become increasingly more difficult. In the economic times in which we live easy credit is no longer available, so some companies have trimmed and cut back on their advertising budgets, and we can expect the number of people clicking on ads will decrease.
You will never make a significant income from blogging if you lack expertise in a specific niche and you do NOT know how to:
* be a skillful blogger, who can actually write very well;
* create an archive full of high quality original content;
* structure a search engine optimized blog and posts;
* promote your blog effectively via social networks and other means;
* establish and maintain a faithful and growing readership (organic traffic).
In blogging content is king and marketing is queen. If you write high quality original content, optimize it, and then promote it throughout social networks and on twitter and friendfeed, then the result may be an increase in organic traffic, or not. If it’s not easy to locate your content in search engines then there will be no increase in new traffic. Thus, what determines success is two things:
* whether or not your content is found, and
* whether or not the readers who do find it become subscribers.
You can have the best content in the world but you have not used basic SEO then how will it be found by potential readers using search engines?

Monetization Combination
I don’t think there is a single best way to make money by blogging. I think the nature of the blog, the niche it’s in, and the quality of the contents are all factors that go into selecting the combination of advertising and affiliate plans that may be workable for any given blog.
The most common ways touted for accomplishing this are Google Adwords, Affiliate Marketing, Google Adsense, Forex Trading Robots, Surveys and Product Reviews, Article Marketing and selling on ebay.

Maybe a better question to get answered would be "Is there a way for me to make money on-line that doesn't involve crappy ads and selling my opinion to the highest bidder? Maybe some freelance tips or niche and SEO advice?" Then again, the answers to those questions are all over blogs to which our helpful contributors here can point.

When I first posted my comment above I failed to click the username link of the member who posted this last year on 3/25/08.
I just did that now and this is what I found:
