You should find out a little about "Blondinbella" a swedish 17 year old who's blog has approximately 300.000 readers a week. It has been estimated that she has made several hundred thousand of it, if not millions.
Started as a blog, went to ad-sales and Pay-per post type blogging, from there came a webshop and she is constantly growing her "empire".
Pretty impressive for anyone, let alone someone not even 18 yet. -
Yes. Here's a post that may be helpful onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2008/11/23/esl-and-blogging/

Depends on two things, I'd think.
- Whether the blog is interesting to a fairly large percentage of English-reading people
- How easy it is to understand what the non-English-speaker is writing
English is a rather flexible language, and a number of people (including a few members of my family) 'write in a dialect.' It's not quite standard English: but it's little to no trouble, trying to figure out what happened. -

Oh Yes! Blogs are created with a purpose. That is why we have themes for every blog for this tells the readers on what to expect.
IF you want a non-english written blog, then you can still capture readers who speak or write the same language that you have for your blog. If you noticed, there are photo blogs which do not require much words, just mere photos.
I intend to write a blog using my town's dialect soon. Take care all! -
They can, but it would be a little difficult if people don't understand their language because it'd be hard to understand them.
Maybe next time, in my blog, I can make some entries written in Filipino. -

Absolutely. Certainement. I know some Japanese bloggers doing very well in Japanese. As long as your language has enough readers, you'll be fine. It all comes down to traffic, after all, so if your language is Basque, you may be in a spot of trouble.

I believe you can be successful in anything if you put your heart and soul in that. Plus you need to have self-belief! You might be successful very quickly or you might spend a lot of time doing mistakes but then suddenly wow...you start making money!

I have learned English as a second language, and I have a blog.
If you're passionate about it, just do it! take Nike's advise

Absolutely! It's totally possible - my native language is Spanish and I run a few Spanish language sites and they make decent income every month -
I'ts all about finding the popular niche for the language you want to write in - I left a recommendation on one of your other discussions about using pagerank.net - you can also download goodkeywords - as this is a good free keyword research software that New Marketers should use.
Check out my internet marketing blog. -
I would think it is possible, but I haven't earned anything myself, so I really couldn't say...

Hello,
I'm a native Arabic speaker, but blogging in French as it is my second language; It is difficult to find readers and to be well ranked in google, but I'll give it a try for some months and I may switch to english (so the blog will have both french and english sections
)
In my point of view, about the initial question, you have just to start, it will be sooo difficult in the beginning, and it will be easier after the 101st post :o) Good luck!

ENGLISH SPEAKING IS NOT IMPORTANT ABSOLUTELY..[FOR BLOGGING]
IMPORTANT IS YOUR ONLY...ENGLISH WRITING SKILL...-
FWIW typing in all capital letters in cyberspace is considered to be equivalent to SHOUTING into someone's face. It's a habit that all English as a second language people should avoid acquiring.
I do visit some blog where it's obvious that the blogger has not mastered the English language. This is most frequently seen when it comes to tenses and when it comes to singular and plural forms. Provided that the information in the posts is useful I continue to read the blog. I feel completely different when I experience text speak in blog posts. I click out of those blogs and do not return.

I don't speak English, I don't have any formal training in writing or even a college degree. So that's why blogging is quite a struggle sometimes.
-
Personally, I use a lot of sites that give me valuable information that are from people who's second speaking language is English. Sometimes, I wish they spoke better, but usually, the sites I have used, the author is very well at explaining what they are trying to convey, even though they leave a word out, or don't use the correct grammar, etc.
Maybe I have just read enough of them, that I have become accustom to the stumbles on the language enough to understand what they are saying.
The point is, even though your words may not flow as fluently as someone who uses my language naturally, I still understand. Hell, many people that grew up with the English language have a hard time using all the rules right. Including myself. -
Nothing is impossible! Even thought they can speak or write English very well they can still be successful. There are lots of software or web tools that can translate different languages to English like translate.google.com/translate_t?langpair=ru|en#, but still its up to the content of their blog if its going to be successful or not.

Glad to note you know about India's largest spoken language hindi. But I don't know hindi at all. My mother tongue is Tamil, one of the oldest languages of the world. Thanks busy.

YES and placing a Google Translator on your site can also help to drive more global bloggers to it.
I have one placed on my site though my site is primarily English and I don't speak 2nd language
but I do have people coming in via my Statcounter from India, China, Iceland, Russia, Croatia,
Madrid, Kathmandu, etc

depend on your content if you just making a post without giving description meaning you just share your picture and any kind of material there then it probably will
But for giving such a huge amount of post, then use english is a must that if you want other people from different country know and understand to what you are trying to say -
I've come to realise one thing, standards are there as a guideline not as an order that must be followed, a little deviation here nd there is normal, as long as you can convey your message to 50% of your audience. Even well written works are misunderstood by some good readers of the used language.
And as for you, judging by ur replies here, ur written English is ok. -
