Good evening -

It would appear that my esteemed colleague timethief is having difficulties with her dashboard, namely - buttons/links under "manage blogs" have disappeared.

This is vitally important to her as she needs to publish her updates.

As it's not at all clear how one signals for help, I thought I'd fire this distress beacon in the air.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Yours sincerely,

GreenCurmudgeon

    I second that motion.

      Thank you very much indeed.

    lol ... this thread is a surprise. Thanks for your concern. On top of having my "update your recent posts" and "update your thumbshot" buttons/links disappearing from under "Manage Blogs" my activity feed has not updated since yesterday.
    1. greencurmudgeon
      Consider this the online version of a "sit in".
  3. crpitt
    It's a conspiracy!
    1. greencurmudgeon
      You mean Lee Harvey Oswald is responsible? I knew it!
    2. timethief
      Lol ... I don't think so. I wish I knew if others were having the same two problems as well.

      (1) I click "Manage blogs" and the butttons/links that should be in the sidebar to click in order to update my recent posts and update my thumbshots do not appear.

      (2) My activity feed has not updated since yesterday.

    My doggy has just eaten his tea!
    1. greencurmudgeon
      And this is relevant how?
    2. gtally
      I think he's an admin explaining the changes. That was technincal jargon.
    3. greencurmudgeon
      @gtally

      So basically, timethief's dashboard is a bit of a dog's breakfast. Erm, tea.
    4. gtally
      Yup. Her dash has gone to the dogs.
    5. greencurmudgeon
      @gtally

      Or like a dog, it's loaded with fleas, erm, bugs.
    6. gtally
      It's a blog eat blog world out there. I think BC's bark is worse than its bytes.
    7. greencurmudgeon
      @gtally

      With a knick knack, server whack, give the blog a bone...this old dash will come rolling home?
    8. gtally
      Are you Sirius? Canine your pug-nacious dog jokes get any worse? I flea-nk not.
  5. greencurmudgeon
    Some input from someone in charge would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    If this issue takes long to resolve, we'll have to turn this into a benefit concert thread - "Timethiefstock" - and get Bono to sing every last song off "The Joshua Tree".
    1. Stillthinking
      I'm rather fond of Achtung Baby.

      Can you get him to perform Wild Horses and Mysterious Ways?
    2. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      I'll see what I can do, it's all for a good cause.
    3. Stillthinking
      If you can't get Bono, we have an excellent U2 tribute band (Elevation) who can come play at Timestock.
    4. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      We will also need the obligatory folk song act to sing "Blowing in the Wind".
    5. Stillthinking
      That would be me. I would sing Blowing in the Wind as it was the first song I ever learned to sing at the tender age of 4.

      Also I would require Bono to sing "Wide Awake" AKA "Bad"
    6. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      Ah, can you trill your voice ala Joan Baez then?
    7. Stillthinking
      Yes, I can but I was thinking more along the smooth folk lines of Simon and Garfunkel rendition.
    8. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      We'll save that for the finale then...a nice peaceful tune to lull the revellers to sleep.
    9. Stillthinking
      No, you gotta have a big, loud rock anthem to finish up and coordinate with the fireworks! It has to have long rock solos. I suggest Pink Floyd's The Wall or ooh! Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
    10. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      "Scaramouche, Scaramouche, can you do the Fandango?"
    11. Stillthinking
      Thunderbolt and Lightening, very very frightening! OH!
    12. greencurmudgeon
      Galileo! Galileo!
    13. Stillthinking
      Galileo figaro! Magnifico!
    14. greencurmudgeon
      But, I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me....
    15. Stillthinking
      Hes just a poor boy from a poor family-
      Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
    16. greencurmudgeon
      Easy come, easy go...will you let me go?
    17. Stillthinking
      Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-
      Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go
      Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go
    18. greencurmudgeon
      Will not let you go! Let me go!
      Will not let you go! Let me go!
    19. Stillthinking
      No,no,no,no,no,no,no-
      Mama mia,mama mia,mama mia let me go-
    20. greencurmudgeon
      Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for meeeeeeeeeee!

      @Still

      However, not behind the wheel of an AMC Pacer.
    23. Stillthinking
      I cheated, I had to look up the lyrics. How about you?

      I live only about an hour from Aurora, IL by the way.
    24. greencurmudgeon
      @Still

      Towards the end, I had to, I must admit. I think I'm getting old, memory is failing.

    I love the outpouring of community support here. Just so you all know, I have sent TT an email address where she can send her problems and we will fix them ASAP!
