Blogcatalog, I remember organized a beautiful program for blogger to do some act of kindness. While I do not participate in the program, I do have an act of kindness to post in my Beautiful World steptpg.blogspot.com/2007/12/act-of-kindness.htmlblog at
Now, what kind act can a person do in his or her daily life? Can you give just one example, or perhaps more?

I try to go out of my way at least once a day to do something nice. Whether it be letting someone with less items go in front of me at the grocery store or donating to the homeless, every little bit helps make the world that much better.

I agree with DOUGGOFFdotCOM I usually try to do something nice at least once a day, whether that be letting someone change lanes or pull out of a junction in heavy traffic, smiling at someone who looks down, saying thank you and wishing people a good day. I find people respond to you being appreciative, so I try to be that all the time.
A recent good deed of mine was to give the Big Issue lady an extra £5 to buy herself some lunch. I always try to buy the mag from her and one this particular day I chatted to her for a bit too. She thanked me for buying her Big Issue and said she was hoping to buy some lunch with the money as she was hungry, so I gave her enough to buy a warm drink and a sandwich. She hugs me everytime I see her now and it makes me feel good that I was able to make a difference. -
Looking for ideas to be kind? go to: www.love4.wordpress.com I have posted lots of ideas and resources to get ideas to be kind.
My challenge to you is to perform 2 acts per day - I believe if everyone did this we could have world kindness in a year.

It depends on what food you give. In my recent trip, we found the fried rice we gave to the kids thrown away. I regretted not taking a photograph of that. Anyway, do visit travelpangs.blogspot.com for a trip down to India!

I'd like to thank you for that, on behalf of whichever woman benefited. Was it difficult? Could you come to my house and hold classes?
I find myself acting more kind around my children, although I do try to be considerate always. I let people step ahead of us in line if we have several things and they have only one or two items, I let people in my lane or make their turn when I can do so safely, and I give my change to charity. We often talk about how gifts and acts of kindness don't have to be big to matter. I'm pretty proud of my little guys--they'll remind me if I forget, now.

I think it's really cool when people leave small items out and about, like jewelry and such. Something really random, but pleasant. Oh, and acts of courtesy are always lovely.
-
However, I should note, if you leave out small items, place them where small children cannot reach (choking).
-
They could be for adults-many adults like to find things-or teenagers, or they could be for children, but the adults pick them up and give them for their children.

well an example today,as I left the Doc's office, I went to Carrows to get some eats, as I left it was raining.
I saw an older man in a wheel chair tucked into the back of the building who was unkept. I asked him if he was homeless? he said yes, I gave him a few bucks. Being homeless sux, and I'm happy that I could give him something~ a person in need.

I think the spontaneous plug that Pentad gave me in her most recent post was the kindest thing anyone has done for me in a good long while.

I have to say that I really appreciate when I am on a train carrying a heavy box of stuff and someone offers me his seat so I don't have to stand with it. It's not something that I expect, but I am grateful that there is still that much courtesy and kindness in the world, and it makes my day. So thanks and lots of good karma to all of you that have offered your seat to someone:)

Here's what I've always wanted to do but just letting you in on it. Gather all your friends and tell them you want to raise money for some charitable organization of your choice. This is assuming you have already contacted the organization with your intention or otherwise. Make sure it is legit and not some scam. Tell your friends you intend to raise a certain amount of money by a certain deadline. See how many people are willing get involved and go that extra mile to reach that target. It will be a great boost to your self-development and your way of thinking. Also, not only do you do your part by giving back to society, you get your friends and people they know involved. It is, ultimately your choice, if you want to stay under the sheets or go public after that. Cheers.

I try to give as much as I can that's why I started proofpositivity.blogspot.com and posted this on River Styx blog riverstyxxx.blogspot.com/2008/03/child-abuse-youre-not-alone.html I go by the starfish story a young boy was throwing starfish into the ocean. An old mansaw what he was doing and said "Boy, what are you doing? You can't save all the starfish." The boy looked at the man in thought "No, but I made a difference for that one."

There was an old man carrying his grandson by two hands and we were both going out the building. He can open the door but with difficulty, so I go first and held the door until they're out. The man thanked me, and It felt good. It was just a simple thing, but considering the man is not a brother in faith and nationality, I think its a big act of kindness. I realized, we can have a better world disregarding our differences and uniting for the common good.

My sister used to work at a bank and one day a bum walked in. It was super cold outside and he just wanted to get warm. The other workers complained since they didn't think that he should be there and "ruin" the atmosphere. The manager of the bank came out and went to talk to the bum, sat down beside him and had a good conversation. Then the manager got up and walked across the street and bought the bum a full meal from a restraunt.
I was blown away when I heard this story! Most reactions would have been like the other workers at the bank, but this manager is serious on the top of my list of givers. -
