Ok, so here's the deal: This summer, my boyfriend and I came up with the idea of starting an online community as a resource for couples going into business together. The blog also documents our experiences as we start our own business as well.
It has already had its highs and lows, but my question to you is: Can you run a business with your mate without killing them?
Think about it and let me know your thoughts.

I think if you go into a business venture with anyone else you need to set out the boundaries and rules before hand. I run a business and while it would be nice sometimes to be able to share the burden with someone, I believe a business needs a dictator to make decisions and get things moving in the right direction.

My husband & I have been in business together for years. We have our business on the ground floor level of our home and we live on the floor above it. We have divided the decision making into sections. We both confer on every decision but in each section one person is the primary decision maker. This model works for us.
