I want to know what people think of my blog. Not sure myself, because I'm pretty new to blogging and I'm trying to get the feel for it.

Thanks!

I like it! Your layout is great...much more exciting than my layout :-) :-)
    Those photos are fantastic, too!

Your blog looks good, I love the texture background and the color works for you very masculine. I have to agree with jdhayes the photos are awesome.

wow - did you take those photos? They're wonderful!

Love the blog's layout ... very clean and linear. LOVE the color scheme you chose, as well.

    Left you a comment!

Design is good. Content is excellent. But, what about the buttons or links to archives, about the blogger, etc.?

Very clean and nice layout. That is a good template for a lot of photos. However, I stopped trying to read because my eyes do not adjust to white print on black. That is just me so if you like it and your readers like it that is what matters.

To all: Yes, I've taken all the photos seen on my blog. Most of them are attached to my Flickr account.

i didn't know that white print on a black background would be that hard to read. Maybe I'll make it a light gray instead?

I really like your blog. The colors and style are excellent. The textured background is extremely cool. Judging by your photos and content I think you will do very well at blogging.

I do have to agree with hyderabadiz about the missing navigation. The "older post" down at the bottom could be very easily missed. Some readers might think that the home page is all there is.

    Hope that helped

The photography is great. I would go here just to look at the pictures. Capitalize on that however you can.

I like the textured background but am unsure about the header image. I actually didn't even notice it until I was reading about it in one of your posts. I took a look. I like it, but maybe I'm just not techy enough to see how that ties in with "Geeks R' Us." I don't get the Geeks R' Us thing either. Your posts don't seem geeky to me. If "it takes one to know one," then does that mean I'm not a geek?

My only real bit of good advice here is something you've already heard. More navigation is a must. Archives by month instead of "older posts"/"newer posts" & definitely not at the bottom of the page. An About Me Page can be really intimidating to write, but it's cathartic and pretty much something I read on everyone's blog. With the exception of AngieSS.

DIGRESSION: Note to Angie- Just kidding. I read every last word of your about page & then when you said to check back because you change the info in your tabs, I thought "Wow, she really is crazy. I wonder if she will keep rewriting her childhood. And I hope she makes it more happy the next time. That last one was too sad.

Sorry about that; back to you, Phoenix. I'd also really like to see categories, but that's just my preference to help me sort through posts. And your Blogroll at the bottom may get overlooked just as your newer/older posts links.

In case you are wondering, I do like it.

Thanks for all the advice mickismorsels, but the problem is I'm pretty new at all of this and to add all those features in, is a bit overwhelming to me at this point.

I'm sure once I get into learning more about the specifications of XMTL (I think that's the name of it.) I'll try to tweek things.

I also agree about the header image. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of that and maybe put the "Geeks R' Us" into that bar with the appropriate look. Just not sure how to do it.

As for the Geeks R' Us. It's more a representation of myself than anyone else.
