Which are the TV shows you find you just can't miss?
Must be: An uplifting counter-balance to our daily drudge.
No-no's: News, Current affairs, Sport, Motoring, Religion, Crime, Soap opera, you get the drift...
Guidelines: Only ONE show per day -- if it's a true toss-up, will allow two; the title of the show must be a strong clue to its content (brief tip in bracket, if not obvious); One Favourite of the week, and why (2-3 short sentences/words).
I'll go first!
M -- Talking Heads, abc
T -- Global Village, sbs
W -- The New Inventors, abc; Spicks 'n Specks, abc (music quiz show with humour)
T -- Catalyst, abc (science)
F -- Better Homes & Gardens, seven
S -- Iron Chef, sbs; Rockwiz, sbs (Rock music quiz show with humour)
S --
Global Village -- interesting, unique view of other cultures; brings a world to me that I will never get to experience for real.

Anyone find any good summer shows?
The only one I found that I like so far is the Real Deal on TLC. It's a reality show about a man who started buying real estate/ fixing up then selling for profit. His company is huge now and I just find the show facinating.
I'm also getting addicted to all those fix up/remodel ur home shows on HGTV. -
I don't think I've made it through a whole television show in years--for a couple of years, we didn't even have television! I do like the part in Numbers where Charlie explains his mathematic analysis, though. I don't usually sit through the whole show, but if I'm home on Friday night I do try to catch those few minutes.

We don't have cable or an antenna. I have serious qualms about exposing myself it television in a "push" as opposed to "pull" framework.
My TV is for watching movies or TV shows that I chose at the time and pacing that I find most comfortable. It also never shows commercials.
