New Ruling Affects Captioning Requirement at Redskins FedEx Field

There is a new ruling by a federal judge who ruled that Redskins will have to continue to provide captions for the games. And that, they have to provide captions to lyrics when Cheerleaders do their number during half-time. I think that football team and all its fans should be ashamed that its name is a racial slur.

  Yeah that's another issue I guess. I don't normally root for the Redskins, I root for the Bears! Do you think everything that's said over the public announcements at these sports venue should be captioned for the deaf and hard of hearing people?

  I'm all for closed captioning but, in all honesty, I couldn't care less what people do when racism is being celebrated.

  Me too. Was talking about it on a local discussion board recently.
  
  My alma mater, Dartmouth College, made the switch from the Dartmouth Indians to Big Green in the 1970s. Of course, there were diehards who swore they would never contribute to the college again, but it was not the end of the world.
