that's a big wombat .. a big baby that is
    1. acousticguitarist
yes, it's about 24 kilos, can run up to 40ks an hour over a hundred metres. We were in time to go for a walk around the zoo with another one, the boyfriend of that one. It was hilarious

Is it a wombat baby? Are they realy that big?
    1. acousticguitarist
yes that' a new born, the real ones are 6 foot 4

just joking, that's about t4 years old
  3. MrPoo
OK, was a bit confused, because PetLvr said its a big baby. Cause if thats a baby, a grown up Wombat must be giant. I never seen a wombat in real, so dont know what size they are. Are they in family with the bear?
    1. PetLvr
that's the first wombat I've seen too MrPoo. I meant "big baby" because this wombat must have been having a tantrum and is being carried off for a 'time-out' or something.

I'm in CST / GMT-6 ... weird things gets typed by my fingers in the middle of the night.

      Here's her boyfriend.

We went for a walk with him, truly

Are you sure its a wombat? It looks like a crossing between a koala and a grizzly
    4. acousticguitarist

  4. MrPoo

    1. acousticguitarist
      they are very smart too.

Given that wombats seem to mostly come out at night, I'm here wondering if they are not a crossbreed between woman and bat? Never mind, I'm outta here...
    1. acousticguitarist
yes, they are active at night. But if you are at Steve Irwin's astounding zoo, you can go for an afternoon stroll (or wobble) with one of those guys.
    2. DollinNYC
I think you are on to something Harv- that wombat was evicted too!
  7. calais50
Wow, I didn't know wombats were that big.
    1. acousticguitarist
yeah, don't let one stand on your toes, or worse, sit on your foot
  8. RecycleCindy
Definitely a hand full for that zoo keeper. Are they fairly docile and don't bite?
    1. acousticguitarist
those ones are raised in a safe environment. They take a while to build a friendly relationship with, I've never met one in the wild, that one is called Mini Bus, she's gorgeous

Aweeeee,I'm soooooo jealous!!!! I would kill to go to that zoo

She's soooo cute... next time get me a pic of a koala!!!! I love koalas

it's a wonderful place, there was a guy swimming with a Bengali Tiger and playing games with it, throwing things in the water and the tiger(s) would dive bomb into the water, ...it was quite astounding

guys teasing the crap out of crocodiles.... fascinating place...it has a very enviro friendly atmosphere.

A mining company is trying to mine the area, it's criminal really. This place (zoo) is doing its best to create healthy relationships with animals and save numerous species throughout South East Asia.
