      i also have no scars. no broken bones, no surgery, no hospital stays... ever. i'm only an astronaut analog for NASA, and yet i have to pass rigorous screening each year. i was born without wisdom teeth or an appendix, which also helps immensely... as well as low BP, high pain tolerance, easily tapped veins, and no regular medications.

      they do this for a reason. Emergency rooms don't exist in space. also, a potential trip to Mars could take 500 days or more... they need people who are self-sufficient and beyond healthy!! i am betting a few of the crew will die on the first jaunt to Mars anyhow though...
