If you had a choice between saving a life which would you choose? A parent, or a loved one {spouse, offspring}?

I'm not married, and hence do not have offsprings or a spouse. So I'd opt for mum.

This is interesting. You wouldn't save either since they have the choice to save themselves? And you have yours?

Well, if I save my hubby he can carry the kids and my parents never visit so it's not like they'll be in danger. I pick spouse.

My parents and my loved ones are never in the same room. The scenario would never arise. My loved ones being BC members.

Of course a parent is loved. But if you had the choice to choose between a parent, and say your spouse or your children, which one would you choose? The question is not nonsense nor cruel - its just to comprehend which amongst your loved ones you treasure most - that's all.

Would "which among your loved ones you treasure most" necessarily be the determining factor? What about the likelihood that the person could save him/herself? Remaining life span? I know if I saved my mother at risk to my daughter or my little sister, her first official act on getting to safety would be to kick my ass.
