...or camera lens, for that matter.

One thing I noticed as a Canadian expat in Germany is how different the holiday season looks across the ocean. As Christmas is such a subjective and personal experience, I'm curious to see how others in the world see the season through their camera lens.

Here are some of my augenblicke (momentary observations by the eye):

Some very nice images there-- a lot of warmth in the lighting, in spite of the cold!

You can see some winter shots of the U.S., (Pennsylvania) countryside as I went to get a Christmas tree over the weekend. The sun and snow made for some lovely photos:

Thanks for your compliments! Perhaps the lighting look warm because it has not been that cold =P

You have beautiful photos... left a comment at your post =)

There's just something about lit store windows, though, like that, that do feel like Christmas. Lovely.

My only photos are of my children so far. We've had very little snow. But I love yours.

My favorite part of Christmas in Germany has to be the Koln Weinachtsmarkt and sipping hot mulled wine from a street vendor as I shop. Thanks for conjuring up a good memory.

I haven't had a good snowfall in over two years, so I definitely miss that part of Christmas. Should we ever move back to North America, I would miss the Christmas markets with the candied almonds and mulled wine!
