Hi, I need your help. I wrote an article about the classic approach to sauce-dishes associations: foodlorists.blogspot.com/2008/01/classic-sauces-dishes-associations.html. I would like to make this article as thorough as possible. So, where ever your are in the world let me now what is the classic sauce dishes associations in your culinary traditions.

    In the southern US, we eat a lot of gravy. Sausage gravy with biscuits and breakfast foods, "white" gravy with things like country fried steak, and "brown" (beef) gravy with roasts, meatloafs, and other baked dishes.

    Broccoli with cheese sause is another southern fave.

      Ah, I believe in the goodness of gravy. We've embraced it here in Western PA, too. It makes french fries lovely.
