If you can only choose one aspect, which will it be?
Comfort or fashion?
Cos I really can't understand people who hurt themselves just so that they follow the latest fashion.
I'd rather wear a comfortable piece of apparel/shoes thank you very much.
And unfortunately, most fashionable stuff that are comfortable are usually too expensive for me.

i think a lot of that depends on your personality, location, income, etc...
i love fashion (most of which is not comfy) but when i am comfy i'm lounging in juicy couture, or VS or something... everyone's different.
i once gave my mom a Coach purse and she asked why it had C's all over it... -
I rather go for comfort which is more lasting than fashion.
Being comfortable gets you into productive mode, and therefore an enjoyable outcome.
Fashion is "just a while" thing that though may boost your morale, will be tough going when you have to keep up with it. It is also surface deep without much content although selecting a suitable fashion needs good judgements at times. -
I am all about comfort. The idea that we should suffer to look good is harmful and leads to social norms that are physically damaging for women. High heel shoes for instance are known to cause terrible damage and legions of women wear them daily.

Here is a little product I discovered that is designed to make women look good but reminds me of a Victorian torture device.

When I was younger I used to spend a lot of time wearing pantyhose, uncomfortable bras, high heels, etc. As I've gotten older [now 46] I have realized that I don't ever plan to get married, which is just fine, and I don't have to impress anyone. So I wear elastic waisted pants and Crocs 99% of the time. I am much more relaxed now.
I think pantyhose were invented by the DEVIL. [LOL]
I thank God every day for the invention of Crocs. -
I tend to the fashion side of comfortable, as opposed to the sloppy side. I don't wear sweats and flip flops, but I live in jeans and t-shirts on the weekend. I have a weakness for pointy shoes and boots, but if I can get a wicked point on flats, I'm a happy girl. Especially in the clearance section.
And yes, pantyhose are intended solely as torture devices or as long underwear.-
Same here. I actually don't have a problem with pantyhose at all, find them comfortable, but on the other hand I find jeans very uncomfortable. I don't have any jeans or sweats or jogging shoes. To me comfortable is a basic black skirt, (black pantyhose in the winter), a simple top (usually black) and comfortable shoes/boots. I guess fashion would not be the right word for me, more like stylishly comfortable.

Comfort, everytime. But if you shop well, you can have comfort that is fashionable. With the breadth of fashion out there today, you really can have both.

Well of course, if you only get one of them for the rest of your life, fashion doesn't stand a chance. I would, however, be very saddened to have to give up high heels and corsets, the delightful uncomfortable pieces of garments that make you feel ah so hot.
I have to say though, when I moved to another country and only took the bare essentials with me, for some time I could not afford to get good fashionable clothing. I felt VERY UNCOMFORTABLE in my clothes that were for comfort over fashion, as I felt old and used up.
I can't say I wear that much uncomfortable fashions, the worst thing I know is too short shirts that leave your back bare every time you bend - I HATE to be cold. -
Comfort, definitely, but I also love to dress up. I just don't get the occasion anymore now that I'm married and the highlight of my social life is going to the grocery store to buy diapers. I'd be comfortably fashionable if I had the money to buy those kind of clothes, but can't do that either. If I can't buy it on sale, I don't get to wear it so that limits my access to couture. I guess if I had the funds, I'd go more to the fashion side, but you would never catch me alive in high heels or uncomfortably tight clothes just because it is stylish! I love to look at the fashion magazines, but I guess that is a poor girls equivalent to my husbands occasional purchase of Playboy. You can look all you want, but you ain't gonna get any.
