I have just had my comments on the guardian removed, I assume, because I have included a link to my blog. This seems very harsh. I sometimes get a lot of recommendations on my posts and they are of a higher quality than the 'my two cents brigade'.
Do people know of blog friendly comment threads where one can make reasoned comments but also add a visible blog link?

If your only purpose in commenting is to drop your blog link, then your intentions will probably be pretty transparent. In my opinion, it's better just to comment when you're interested in a topic. Often you will be able to give a link to your site with your name anyway, making the addition of "a visible blog link" superfluous.
