Dice communities started as a result of the cult novel The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart in the 70s. They mimiced the ideals outlined in the book and subjected themselves to chaos theory. Literally living by decisions made from the roll of dice.
Our dice community projects adhere to similar rules but in a more controlled environment that's meant to be of benefit to local communities. So fans of the Dice Man and the concepts behind it make their own community in their local town or city and meet to decide on projects, how to help and with what by rolling dice.
Simple really!
