Hi Guys & Ladies,
I have a question that some of you may like to try and answer.
I have been using Web CEO & IBP for optimizing my blog pages, choosing keywords etc.
Now although I am getting results on the first page of many search engines, I have just noticed in IBP especially, that what is deemed as great for a top ten listing with one search engine, can mean total disaster with another ie.
On Google
(H1) text of "Diy Computer Repairs" using the search term "computer repair"
IBP reports a keyword density of 67% and says it meets requirements.
On MSN or Yahoo
(H1) text of "Diy Computer Repairs" using the search term "computer repair"
IBP reports a keyword density of 67% and says it is does not meet requirments as the keyword density is too high !
So what is the best strategy...?
Is it better just to concentrate on optimizing for Google & forget about others penalizing you for what does not meet their requirments.
Or in the case above would it be better to change the H1 text to "First Aid PC Repairs" and try to fit in with Google, MSN & Yahoo at the same time..?
Needless to say this has been causing me some major headaches as I cannot seem to get a decent answer to this question.
Regards Steve (Taffy)

Taffy, It been a while since you posted this, I'm wondering how things are working out and which solution you went with.
I want to say it IS better to just concentrate on google, most traffic comes from them, MSN and Yahoo are better for sponser ad placements though. I think you are a local company so you are a great candidate for local sponsored searches (Only pay for clicks in your local area) -
Hi C.S. yes you are correct ! After doing some considerable research on this problem, I discover that Google actually has 82% of the market and therefore all others don't even bear thinking about! I think Yahoo was next closest but only with around 9.7%, MSN was not even worth mentioning. My latest problem now is Google deciding to drop my ranking for no apparent reason and on reading on the help forum it seems they did the same with many other websites, some of which had been active for over 2 years. Anyway am slowly clawing back my ranking but as you know this all takes time hahaha.
