Wanted to post a further comment in the "Obama Conspiracy" thread, but it seems to have disappeared. It's either a glitch or a conspiracy! "Removed by the government"! lol
Anyhow, whether you believe that they are on to something or not, it seems the "conspiracy theories" or "truthseeking sites", depending on the point of view adopted, have become an entertainment of sorts (some of the videos made have been the most watched on Internet).
So, my question is, why do you watch CTs aka truthseekers?
a) for the entertainment value
b) because you feel that is where you get the most truthful information
c) because you think you can connect with like minded people who can exert positive change
d) other
Also which CT/truthseeker offers the best value (depending on your point of view)?

If you haven't seen any of these people before, you can have a quick look and vote also! Why not!?

David Icke is one of the last I took a look at, only briefly, as he gets into stuff I have a hard time fathoming.
I think he went called himself a prophet on national TV! This to me is a tell tale sign there are chances he is not authentic, and his "illumination" serves to discredit what truths he is saying. Classic.
Similar to the "ex" British agent Shayler who becomes a figure of the "truth movement" before announcing - on national TV - he has discovered he is the Messiah! How stupid do they think people are? lol

I have no use for conspiracy theorists and do not waste my time on their sites. Here are some particularly apt quotes regarding people who hold on to conspiracy theories:
— "What most people would view as truly bizarre, conspiracy theorists find energizing.”
— “Evidence … has been proved to feed conspiracies, rather than kill them.”

"Conspiracy theorist" is a rhetorical figure of speech coined in the 1960s (by the Tavistock Institute) to suggest that conspiracies can only be theories.
David Ray Griffin makes a legitimate point that those who believe in the official 911 conspiracy theory (a conspiracy of 19 hijackers who toppled three towers with two planes etc.) without having examined the claims themselves are "conspiracy theorists". Wherease those who feel the claims of the official conspiracy theory are outrageous/unsound, but do not care to speculate on the nature of an alternate conspiracy, are not "conspiracy theorists".
One thing is for sure, reality is quite unmindful of the idea we make of it to be what it is.
PS How about this for a laugh - the BBC announcing the fall of WTC7 one hour ahead of time, with it in the background, and the liason goes bad a few minutes before the actual demo... fall? loooooool

OK, so here is my take. I have by and large stopped watching/listening to truthseekers/CTs (except for a quick scan of Jones prisonplanet), because although it is quite evident there is much truth in what is said (no smoke without a fire), there is just too much stuff to verify on your own (and there often seems to be some falsehoods mixed in there). Also, if you cannot exert positive change with such information, it is probably a waste of time. Further, as most are still brainwashed by television (which is a hypnotic tool), it may be prudent not to be too far ahead of the pack... lol
Best entertainer for me is Alex Jones.
Most charismatic and authentic: Bill Cooper (too bad he got mowed down).
Most compelling: David Ray Griffin.

I like conspiracy theories because I've never been a fan of reading fiction but conspiracy theories walk the line between reality and fantasy and the proposed possiblity that the fantasy may in fact be a reality makes it a much more gripping story to follow.

Was it David Icke who started the whole idea of reptilian aliens being in control of the planet, e.g. posing as politicians and so on?
I was just curious to know where it originated without having to watch a load of crackpot movies first.
