I want to beef up a new project with some quality content. I have seen a lot of shit in many article directories – I want the best. So who are they? I am already assuming they're not free.

Kevin, I write for a site, Beneath the Brand. The contract I signed doesn't place restrictions or exclusives. I'm not an expert, but there are lots of experts there who might be willing to part with some copy. Most of us sell reprints all the time--those fees vary, but for a piece I originally sell for $500, I'd probably only get $100 for reprint rights. Like I said, I'm not the expert there (I think I'm more the writer-blogger). But there are some super smart folks in marketing and advertising.

I have a lot of content on writing for the Web that I do for my Web Savvy column at The Writer. I can reprint those after 30 days. So if there's anything along those lines (articles on backup programs, interviews with marketing experts and bloggers, a couple on liability (great interview in two parts with a leading intellectual property attorney and like that). If any of that would be useful to you, let me know. I wouldn't expect a fellow BCer to pay what I'd charge someone else for a reprint.

I just interviewed a guy for Web Savvy, Stefan Pinto, who did a very good article, tips for freelancers and some were things I never thought of. He did the piece for Talent Zoo, and he might let you reprint that for a small fee and a link.

Just lemme know if any of that is helpful.

And there's amazon you know--they have the piecemeal deal for articles, but I dunno what they cost. best,Kay
