Are you able to contribute to BC discussion forum?

Do you feel compelled to do so?

Do you shy away from the discussions if so this is an opportunity to say....

Do you think how you present on BC is how you are in real life?

No - inevitably, since BC discussion threads limit communications to alphanumeric strings, representing words. In "real life" people would be able to see a balding, bearded man, hear my voice, see my expressions and gestures.

I think, however, that implying that BlogCatalog is not "real" isn't entirely accurate. I'm quite certain that I exist: and that you and all the other BC people are - people.

That, or the best AI designed to date - by far.

I don't really understand the first three questions. Obviously, we are all able to contribute--the value of those contributions may be in question, but not our ability.

The last question is the most interesting. I believe that I present myself exactly the same here on BC as I do out in the physical realm, but people's perceptions may be very different--and that's true regardless of the venue. I have always found that different people, apparently depending upon their own experiences and context, interpret me very differently. So, while I think I present myself the same here as I do out in the world, I have no idea whether or not people are perceiving me the same way.
