Have some fruit salad for breakfast this morning...a cool, refreshing change from cereal on a bright summer's morning!

I have peaches in my fruit salad because they are ripe and because I have a lot of them.

I love apples on my fruit salad. Yum. Chilled and served with magnolia cream.

      What is magnolia cream?

I love apples...since childhood, they have been my favourite fruit. But over the last few years I have been more and more intolerant of them, and now cannot eat raw apples or drink apple juice. Cooked apples...like applesauce or apple pies...are OK.

I miss fresh apples...I'm originally from Oregon and there are SO many delicious varieties of apples there that you never see in the supermarkets...like Early Transparents. Yum! I miss my fresh apples!

Magnolia cream is a shelf stable cream. This processed cream gives good results for all types of uses including whipping and cooking. To find a fresh cream that is suitable for all uses you will need to look for a heavy cream, that is one with at least 30-35% fat content. A high fat content is needed in fresh cream to stablise the foam in whipping and to prevent curdling on heating.

I sometimes eat magnolia cream by itself and I know I shouldn't do that.Kiwi fruit is also yummy. We have a store here that has 'make your own salad'. You pic the fuits of your choice and they put cream on it. I always have mine filled a lot with cocunut flesh, grapes, apples and if strawberry is available I put a LOT on it so that my salad looks really red.

it's just a brand of cream salad. i like it because it's cremier. have you tasted chinese apples? they're green and delicious but yes it doesn't do for all.

      Oh Chinese apples sounds wonderful!

I love fruit salads! Sometimes its more with everyday fruit like apples, banana, kiwi, orange. Other times with different types of melon, strawberries, mango. yeah I love fruit ^_^!!

No, I haven't tried Chinese apples. They sound good, though.

This is a simple salad...only 4 fruits and some yoghurt, but it's juicy, crisp, cool and tasty. Perfect for summer.

That's okay, TT--there's some wonderful soups on here. I will try some of them--but gazpacho is my very favorite summer soup (at least that I have tried).

Interesting--I posted about gazpacho in that thread last summer!
