Back when we were teenagers, we used to run up on peoples lawns and steal the baby jesus from the nativity scenes and replace them with pork or beef. Then we remade the baby jesus to have black makeup and whatnot, take a picture and put it there after a week or so.

@riverstyxxx..Oh so you are the reason why we can find ours...SHAMEFUL

I will be attending several small events, dinners, etc. and I will attend a big party to celebrate the Winter Solstice with friends. Some live far away and will be visiting. I'm really looking forward to seeing them, and catching up on what's going on in their lives, and making some new memories.

@Timethief....very nice...I am going over Grandma's house and I'm making her the best Cake ever. This cake takes me hours to make but people just can't get enough when they try it.

It's a Christmas Cranberry, Pear and Walnut torte with Cream cheese-orange frosting.
I found it in the Bon Appetit.... December 1999 Magazine.
Every year my family insist that I bring "TWO" of them or else I can't get in the door.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Oh my ... I do ever want a cake like that one. I have a high metabolic rate and I exercise. I can eat as much rich food as I want because it won't end up as ugly fat on my thighs and ass. I snicker when women ask men is "does this make my butt look big"? I always respond honestly when my girlfriends ask me questions like this.

If I get some time later I will post the receipe in my "Cooking with Jeunelle" discussion.
The cake is one receipe but then the "Cream cheese orange frosting" and the "Poached pears with cranberry puree" is another.
The 1st time I made the cake it took me 7 hours. My kitchen was a mess and I had a lot
of dishes to wash. It took my family 2 seconds to devour it and they did it in my face.

Hmmmm ... I have a recipe from my friend for the most wonderful peach and pear pie. It's her specialty. I &hearts it.
    5. Jeunelle
Sounds delicious...I love peaches & pears.
    6. timethief
It also contains liqueur ... Mmmmmmm
    7. Jeunelle
No not this one but I ain't ruling that out either.
My Mother makes the best Christmas Black Fruit Cake and that has rum in it.
She uses a special rum from Trinidad that is very hard to find.
It's called "Old Oak Rum"...made from Trinidad's oak trees and it is the best rum on the planet, nothing comes close to it. When I travel to Trinidad I usually sneak a few bottles back home with me.
    8. Jeunelle
Speaking of which...the 1st time she tried to make one, she used a whole bottle of rum
and when I saw her pouring it in...I was like "Mom I don't think you have the right receipe".
She insisted it was correct because she got it from her sister (my Aunt).
Turns out the whole cake blew up and burned to a crisp, the potholders burned too.
Today my Mother and her sister (my Aunt) aren't on speaking terms and my Mother insists
to this day that her sister (my Aunt) tried to assassinate her and she almost succeeded:)
    9. Jeunelle
Here is the recipe for that fabulous cake that I swear by....hmmmmm hmmmm

I'm going to Jeunelle's we are going to drink shoe polish and throw deaf kittens off the top of her building at passing holiday traffic. We like a traditional Xmas.
    1. riverstyxxx
Ooh, sounds like Santa's gonna make a special trip out your way this season
    2. aningeniousname
Don't matter if he does, Jeunelle stands guard all night with stun grenades and a sawn off shotgun so he can't leave me anything. She can be quite jealous.
    3. Jeunelle
      @aningeniousname....Oh noes you didn't...ROFLMAO

I am getting smashed on Grandma's Egg Nog.
She drops some heavy liquor in that Egg Nog and you can always find me under the Christmas tree singing "Little Drummer Boy" when I'm drinking it.....I love my Grandma's Egg Nog.
      Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum
    4. aningeniousname
You should patent it "Old grandma's little drummer boy Xmas egg nog"
You would have to put a warning on the side though that said "Caution! keep away from naked flames! Not suitable for human consumption!"
    5. Jeunelle
@aningeniousname....ouch yes I can make a killing on that receipe for sure
with a skull & bone picture right next to Grandma's face. Maybe I should call it "the black widow".

Spending the day with my family. Cooking Christmas dinner for everyone. There's going to be a ton of people here. Hoping Santa puts that new COC cd in my stocking.
    1. Jeunelle
@hatingtherain...alright...I hope it's a good one for you. Enjoy

My Birthday is December 31st and I can't wait for the New Years Count Down.
I was born almost before midnight, my Mother said it's because I hated brussel sprouts,
which she had that day and it caused her to go into labor and here I came.
Gosh if she didn't have those brussel sprouts I would of made it to January 1st
and the Hospital always gives you a lot of gifts when you hit January 1st. DAMN
    2. hatingtherain
Wow, i bet you really have fun birthdays! That would be neat i think.
    3. Jeunelle
@hatingtherain...the only thing that sucks about it is people give me my Christmas gift
& Birthday gifts on Christmas. I hate that the most. I just get one gift for both.

Last year I completely flipped out and cussed out my whole family.
I was like "I don't forget to give you guys a separate gift on your Birthday you cheap bastards.
I want two separates gifts or no Christmas cake for any of you". ROFLMAO

Because I can share this no place but here, I am surprising my mom with an English bulldog puppy named Sasha. Other than that it will be the normal stop by the family, play some games and watch the relatives get under each other's skin and begin fights that will last until next holiday season. Should be a good time.
    1. Jeunelle
@faithsju243...Have a wonderful holiday season and get ready for the coming new year.
  9. Jeunelle

I'm not sure of complete plans yet, but as far as I know I will be spending the holiday with my mom and friends. Other than that my favorite part of the holidays is going to look at light displays. I've already been to The Festival of Lights in Clemmons, NC and McAdenville, NC for the first time but I'm planning on seeing more before the season ends.
