Creative ways to improve your blog's SEO

What are some ways that you've creatively improved your blog's SEO?

For example, you can actually use your LinkedIn profile to improve the SEO of your blog. Instructions are here: ustandout.com/index.php/seo/improve-websites-seo-linkedin/

What other tips do you have? I'd love to hear more ideas besides the obvious (meta tags, header tags, etc).

Craigslist works to get me more readers!

Obviously, submitting to search bookmarking sites like Digg, Mixx etc. get me more pages on Google & Yahoo.

M7levels

Ihave been using Social media from Twitter, to Digg it, Stumble on etc. A great way to peek major traffic. Another idea is to focus on specific keywords that are specific to your blog. Ours is on page 1on Google with these specific keywords. SEO Content, SEO ideas Actually we have 2 listings all organic. One is my name (Gabriella Sannino's SEO-ideas Folder | Scribd) The other is SEO content « M7level’s Weblog. I hope that helps!

  i'm not convinced about the quality of traffic from stumble and dig. yes, there's great traffic fast but it's not overly useful

yep that's sounds ok. Never tried it

I found a couple of better ones by accident, i've tested them but am not ready to use them

If you think differently than everyone else and understand what ranks highly, you're out on your own

My 2 main guitar blogs have had 160,000 visitors this year and apart from the content, i've done mad things to get them to rank

I think best way to SEO is to forget about SEO and just blog and try to improve what you do every day. I mean should not stick to one or couple of things but rotate different methods and be realistic.

I found Blog catalog is a good place to start SEO.
Yahoo answers is another good place that bring traffic
Submitting articles
Doing a small e-book and spread it cross the torrent sites.
