   Hi, Julie- I liked the soft feel to it and the way you leverage your artwork for the header.
   
   It did take a little bit of time for me to load, and I'm on a T-1 line. I'm not sure why, because it doesn't seem like there's too much stuff going on. Maybe someone else can see what's holding it up.
   
   I don't know if there's any way to align the featured art "from the easel" along with the smaller photos underneath it? Right now it feels like it's off center, so possibly left justifying it like the thumbnails, or centering the thumbnails under it would make that flow a little better.
   
   I think the From the Easel idea is a great feature, though, and your blog is a pleasant visit.

   I like it, great potential. The banner / easel thing is great. It's always good to incorporate images in your posts, which I see you did well.
   
   Couple things I think you should improve on: Since your blog is only a month old, I suggest using a different archiving scheme, maybe by weeks instead of months, it looks to listy and clumpy the current way. I would also make it so 2-3 posts are on each page. Right now you have like 10 and I have to scroll all the way down to reach the bottom. 2-3 looks more professional and neater...if I want to see your older posts I can always look at your archive. Last thing is I would try and play around with the template a bit if you know some html (there are many tutorials online, w3schools.com being my favorite) in order to make your blog look different from every other persons.
