Custom list order in Link Widget

Can someone tell me how I can make the link categories appear in a custom order i.e. not alphabetically. I am using wordpress.

    When you open the Links widget it says this: "There are no options for this widget." Consequently, if you want a links display arrangement that isn't alphabetical you will have to create your own using a text widget.

    Other possibilities you can check into but I haven't tried them so I'm not vouching for them are:
