I agree that this thread does look as though it has been incorrectly categorized as a General Discussion thread. It does seem like a Shameless Blog Promotion post that's missing a talking point or a question aimed at provoking discussion. Maybe posting this link will help you take note of what's allowed www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/shameless-blog-promotion-what-is-allowed#...
With respect to the movie I'm wondering if you are aware of this thread www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/what-bc-members-think-about-the-dark-knig...-
No - she doesn't work for BC - but the terms of serviced you agreed to as well as the "read before posting" thread at the top of the discussions make it clear that simply "link dropping" without having anything that resembles a discussion is forbidden.
From the looks of things, the OP stopped over - dropped his link, and left. There's no discussion in that. -
I understand that folks are discussing now - but that's probably just because it's batman related. To that point, as TT has shown - we already had relevant threads going here. Also, try to imagine what might happen if everyone did this - the discussions would just be a link farm.
Now for the ultimate in ironies - note how often a post liket his (hit and run style) starts arguments or infighting. It is rather comical.

The low points were long and drawn out.
But the high points were freakin awesome and made up for the low points.
The characters were awesome.
Bale and Gyllenhaal's performances were a little dry at times.
But Ledger and Eckhart's performances were amazing!!!
I loved Two Face BTW. lol

I saw Dark Knight. As someone who HATES big budget hollywood films, I have to say this movie was a PURE DELIGHT. There were some cheesy parts, but it IS a comic book movie. YOu have to take it with a comical perspective, but the movie was a blast to watch. If you go in expecting Scorcese, then you'll surely be dissapointed. Ledger was amazing to watch. I highly reccomend.
Ok, don't laugh...I just read your review. Dude you are WAY off base. Do you have any film background? You can't walk into a movie like Dark Knight in year 2008 and expect both too much and too little at the same time. It's a big budget film so there will be no spidar captions saying "POW" in the corner of the movie screen. It's still a comic book movie so, yes people's voices are animated for effect. You not only sound like an old fart when reviewing the movie, but you sound like you should stay out of the theatre altogether and stick to TMC, or AMC or TV Land. If you like the old classics, then stick to what works. With all due respect.

Wow dude, have you even seen the movie? Are you kidding me??? "Speaking of bad vocals, everyone is raving about the Joker. Blah blah blah. No villain with that nasally voice would have made it in the real world." News flash...this wasn't the real world!
And Batman's voice was kept low bc in "movieland" he was disguising his real voice so no one would realize who he was.
This isn't a low budget movie..."POW" and "THACK" have been replaced and the movie was nothing BUT special effects.
Poor Review...you did this movie as well as Heath's performance an injustice. -
I think the movie was great and I did my own review albeit much shorter over at dccomicsreview.blogspot.com.
You really did Heath Ledger an injustice. It doesn't sit well with me to talk poorly of the deceased.-
I have heard the movie was good and I look forward to seeing it. However, I do not agree that speaking poorly of the dead isn't justified simply becuase they are dead. Do we not still speak ill of Hitler? He his dead, yet we still speak ill of him. So I don't think just being "dead" should make one exempt from critism, especially if it is accurate critism.
