   Deborah Drapper is not like any other British teen. She's 13 years old but she's never heard of Britney Spears or Victoria Beckham. She has grown up in a deeply Christian family on a farm in deepest rural Dorset, her parents have tried to make sure her and her ten brothers and sisters have grown up protected from the sins of the outside world.
   
   Deborah is a bright, confident girl who has big ambitions for her life. The film spends a summer with her as she ventures out in to the wider world to see what life is like outside her family. This is achieved when she spends a few days staying with her elder brother who is studying at university in Derbyshire. There she gets to meet non-believing, and typically drunk, students at first hand.
   
   The film is an intimate and honest portrayal of a deeply religious and charismatic teenage girl. It raises questions about whether it is better to bring children up away from the glare of celebrity culture and reality TV, to have an altogether different kind of childhood; one where traditional family values and a religious education and upbringing form the foundation stones of family life.

   Deborah doesn't look unhappy to me. She seems to be well spoken and has a good head on her shoulders and she has an air of strength and confidence.She obviously isn't abused and she is living a good clean life. I am sure some will disagree with what I've just said and quiet frankly I am glad that she never heard of Brittany Spears and those others crazy loons and anorexic Victoria Beckham. They are not good examples of people I would want my children to look up to if I had children. Deborah is a joy to my eyes and a beautiful young lady.

   i understand your point of view, but it is a serious case of religious brainwash.
   
   what she's gonna do when she will clash with the reality such as : going to work, meet others human being, watching tv news..etc..?

      I am sure she will have divine intervention.
      
      Look this isn't a serious issue to me we have kids as young as 5 years old getting shot in the head in Mattapan and Roxbury Massachusetts.
      This is not a life threatening issue and I am sure she will pull through life just fine,
      in fact she might pull through better than most of us.
      
      There really is nothing out there for her, the most important things are family
      and the love of your family which she seems to have.
      I'm sure she doesn't need saving.
