Describe your Blog Catalog Icon. What's the story behind that image?

So what's the story behind my smile? My younger brother took that smile pic of mine at the airport while I was watching our sis and our brother-in-law kissing. =) That kiss really showed how they missed. It's been 3 years since they last saw each other. And my bro? He was really quick to take a pic of my facial expression/reaction at that moment. Sort of teasing me. I cropped the whole image just showing my SMILE as you can see. =)

  i see... just use adobe photoshop. click image then hit image size and change the pixel dimension value. but, you're icon looks great... well, what do you expect for a pretty girl. =)

  It's a British thing, I think. The British tend to complain a hell of a lot and I tend to uphold this time honoured tradition by being a miserable old fart who bickers on at the state of youth today. Yeah, that's about it, lol.

A friend of mine took this of me when I was getting ready to sing. I am holding a microphone and was trying to listen intently to the drummer's beat of the song to find my place...I liked the black and white image, and it seems to fit me perfectly.. so that's my story and I am sticking to it!

My husband is Hindu so I wear the red dot on my forehead. This photo is a closely cropped picture that includes one of my eyes and a "fancy" dot.

  The dots come on a card and they have a sticky backing. If a favourite dot looses its stickiness, I use surgical glue (the kind you use for false eyelashes) to make it sticky again.

  About two or three wearings.
  
  I have a collection of "fancy dots" that I use over and over again for dress up occasions. The plain red ones I just discard when the sticky is gone as they are very inexpensive...a card of 50 of them costs about 3 rands (less than half a dollar, US).

Last year, my parents and I attended the Idaho Civil War Reenactment. After the re-enactors fired the cannon, the crowd was dispersing and I happened to see someone getting a picture with the cannon. I told my dad I wanted one too, so we quickly went over there and my dad snapped that shot while I pretended to fire it! Someday I'm going go back and pay the large fee to fire it for real!

The picture actually turned out as a perfect fit for my blog, so I decided to make it as the header, and also my avatar!

I went to the zoo years back, there was a silver bowl of fruit salad in it, and I thought, oh, very nice vegetarian lunch. And then I looked up and there was a very cute little guy looking at me, he was a red panda. And I thought, wow, you are beutiful.

I used to use my own picture but I found that people would insult me if they disagreed , but people like the panda and are often not willing to insult the panda.

It's a song about Krishna, I can't give you the exact translation

Gopala is the beloved Lord of the Gopi's, the cow herders that Krishna used to steal the butter from

Radha is the female aspect of Krishna

The murali is the flute that Krishna would play

Nanadala, Krishna is the beloved son Nanda

There is more to it, but whenever anyone mentions Krishna, that song plays in my head, it's a beautiful tune.

I don't speak that language but am familiar with the underlying idea of what it is saying

Mine is so goofy - it started out as a joke. A friend ask me - how does the family tell the differece between when you're playing on the computer and working on the computer - and I said - well, I put on my "writer's hat, of course!" Next day - she brought me this redicilous cap, and then took a pic. And the reason it's black and white is because that cap is soooooo pink - unholy unimaginable unspeakable - PINK.

Mine is a car-wash that I operate in my off-time...

no wait, that's not true. it's a random car wash in Vancouver that however spells out my name (AR ASH) when seen at a specific angle and it's neon! When I first saw it I was thrilled by this discovery (i still am).

Mine used to be me, but it was suggested that perhaps I shouldn't have a personal pic -given my whole desire to be 'annymous'. (duh me!) So this was a quick pick that I chose because it just speaks to me. It's not easy to photograph sunsets, and this one was right in my back yard on a cheapo cam and it came out just like it looked to my eyes at the time.

Pictures of my daughter sleeping, and sunsets... can't take enough of em.

I'm the most unphotogenic guy in the universe. So I use the only pic I ever took of myself that look relatively good. It was taken after a pretty brutal break-up with my ex. Blogcatalog squished it.
