Hearing about the new Harry Potter movie receiving a PG rating, I did what any fan should: I wrote/photoshopped up a small satire regarding this rather predictable turn of events. Needless to say, I thought it was pretty good (of course I may be a little biased toward my own blog:), but it seems to receive a rather "eh" sort of reaction at best, with quite a bit of outrage from Potter/David Yates fans (of whom I am one, does the satire not come across well?) Well, am I just not as funny/satirical as I would like to believe? Are you not giving the article a chance because it takes too long to get good? Basically, how can I make it better for you as a reader?

Keep bloggin:)

(I would also like to give a shout-out to the few followers who sent me praise, I don't mean to make it seem like I don't appreciate your feedback as well)

Lol, shameless blog promotions generally dont go down well,

BUT, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post. I liked the new direction the films were taking too, and it seems a shame to see them sacrifice staying true to the books, for what is possibly a way to ensure more kids see the film, and then more franchise toys get sold.

But at the same time, the rules on books are less strict: a kid is allowed to read a book with all of the gore and menace of the brothers Grimm fairytales, with doves pecking out the ugly sisters eyes etc, but when it comes to films, I suppose they want the same audience to be able to read it.

Its a difficult decision I'd imagine.

I very much agree with you about the conventions regarding what is appropriate in a novel and on the big screen.
