    1. monkeytale
      lol...same here Dane.
  4. TonyB
Is it the hour of posting that counts or the day most of you readers see it?
    1. monkeytale
Posting a little early should get your post a little more exposure I'd think. I figure it's tomorrow, today, somewhere.

  5. TonyB
    Date abuse? Time abuse?

I've got a start posted, on "Apathetic Lemming of the North" ( apatheticlemming.blogspot.com/ ). My intention is to add a post or two as the day goes on: There's a draft on my laptop right now, that's definitely not ready for prime time: or any other time.
    1. Norski
      Maybe that was "post started."

Nope. "start posted" was right. I did post a short 'intro.' this morning.
  8. crkian

Are you guys posting just 1 post on abuse today? or, a whole bunch? So far - I've got 9 posts scheduled .. I guess I'll have to add an introduction and conclusion to recap them all and submit on the links above.
  11. TonyB
PetLvr... make sure to protect the flee ridden dog.
  12. TonyB
If you haven't blogged yet...a really cool post..would be to take all the Bloggers Unite images that have been created for today and display them together. The images are spread out on this thread and in the groups.
  13. gosmelltheflowers
Damned right us flowers have posted, as promised as we yearn to see an end to all kinds of abuse but specifically, in our post we ask what is it that makes the victims of abuse protect their abusers identity?

Is it shame, love, fear or just ‘part of the dance of life’ that stops victims of domestic violence stopping the problem at the source? Do share your thoughts as this post makes it around the blogosphere……

    www.gosmelltheflowers.com/blog/archives/1007

We would love it if you, Siteproplus could just drop into the flower bed and post first on your quest! Group hugs optional...

Great to see the list. I was hoping to see more blogs before heading off to work (soon) but i was relying on getting in here to get a lot of the links. and boy, has it been tough to get in here this morning...lol.

I'll have to use this when I get home later today. Thanks for posting the list Chris.
    2. crkian

I did do a blog about abuse. I didn't pick out any abuse in particular, but I guess you would say it's domestic. You can find it here:

Sure did... prescription drug abuse. It's a worse problem than heroin, cocaine/crack, inhalants, and crank combined. Really.

    leftbrainwrite.blogspot.com

Especially among kids and young adults... but becoming a porblem for boomers.
    1. scorpy01
From what I've seen, prescription drug abuse leads to heroin. Far too many kids are getting hooked on painkillers when they're hurt during sports, especially contact sports like football. When the prescription for Vicodin runs out, they find an alternative source who then suggests the more potent oxycontins.

As resistance to the oxy's build, kids begin to crush them, snort them, shoot them until they move on to heroin.

One guy had a pain "patch" that he boiled and then tried to inject in his arm. His mom found him on the kitchen floor with the needle in his arm. He was dead.

I have a lot to say about drug abuse. Too much for just one post. I did it as my second Abuse post here: www.mydandelionpatch.com/2007/09/27/bloggers-unite-to-end-abuse-drug-abuse/

I made a post on science abuse. It's kept very general in order not to be too offensive on the other side this post might be a solid basis for further discussions. In connection to animals - I didnt put a special emphasis on that. There are a lot of controversis going on in using animals for tests.

    You find my post at:

I wrote about pornography and some of the double standards that contribute to the direct and indirect abuse of women in the porn industry. I tried to put together a checklist for "fair trade porn", but it's an incomplete and imperfect one.

    Politics Abuse.

    transitenator.blogspot.com/2007/09/politik-missbrauch-myanmar-burma.html

Following the thought that autocracy, dictature etc. are an abuse to fellow citicens (a leader seen here as a 'normal person' just like all others) I establish and refer to the basic democratic thought to treat others, like one wants to be treated him/herself.
Non democratic rulers are in danger of abusing politics.
