Hi friends and senior bloggers,
I am a bit confused about these two terms : "Page Views" and "Visits".
I have placed Sitemeter on my blog: carsonroll.blogspot.com
which shows two stats for each day - Page Vists and Page Views. Most of the time they are either equal or the Page Views are higher. What is the difference between these two statistical parameters ? Can some one please explain.

Visitors - number of visitors .
Page views - how many pages in total people looked at. if most of the time the number is almost the same that means each visitor look only at one page which is not a good sign. you need to make sure your content is good enough for people to look for more.

Also check your "entry pages" and "exit pages" and you will have even more information.

@timethief: I never saw that feature of sitemeter...the exit & entry pages do tell a lot about what my visitors love reading. Now I can better know my audience. Thanks

Knowing your readers will help understand what they like, looking at entry and exit pages is vital.
Adding Google Analytics or similar to your blog can also help give you more detailed information about your readers.

I was wondering what the exit page means. Is this the point they get bored and leave? What information do you determine from your exit page data?
