I like the Smart Digg Button. It just sits on the taskbar until you want it. I wish someone could do the same sort of thing for Stumble.

You can try the "Bookmark" button from AddThis.com -- I have it at the bottom of each of my posts and it works out well. The reader uses one button to submit to any of a number of sites. Digg is one of them.

This probably won't be too much help, but if you dig around here (no pun intended), there's a thread with a link to a helpful site. I used it (albeit with some modifcation to get just what I wanted) and am liking it thus far.

A Digg button is automatically inserted into each one of my posts. Have a look (blogcabins.blogspot.com). If that's what you want, hunt down that thread or PM me and I might be able to help.

ok, approaching midnight........reading here....is there any hope?
    Please, somebody help!

You lovely people who have replied assume I have some intelligence...I do, but not as we know it! LOL (Sorry I had to laugh at my own sad joke cos it's true when it comes to technology!)

FeedBurner will let you do this. Example: onmymac.blogspot.com

You get a Feedburner account, set up your feed for your site, choose the optimize tab in feedburner, and then choose the feedflare option and follow the directions.

By the way, I did this with no experience in these things. It worked on two of my blogs, but not on the other two. I'm guessing the template is at fault on those two, but I can't be bothered to figure it out right now.
